Problem with USPS

Hey guys, I didn't really know where to create this topic, so I hope it's ok with it being in the classifieds section.

I am wondering if anybody is experiencing issues with USPS lately. I had a big box of figures shipped from the US to Brazil on March 4th and the last update on my tracking was on March 6th. it says

"March 6, 2020 at 1:31 pm
Departed Shipping Partner Facility, USPS Awaiting Item"

After that there has been no update whatsoever. I usually get these packages in my country about 2 - 3 weeks after shipping, but so far nothing has happened. I am sure the COVID-19 might be a issue here, delaying shipping due to less staff working or because of quarantine restrictions other than that.
But if that was the case, I suppose USPS would at least have updated the tracking and recorded that they received the package.  The company website indicates they are working, and I haven't had any delays in other packages, just this one.
I just wanted to know if anybody in the US has experienced something similar. I know I might sound insensitive for thinking about toys at this moment, but it was an expensive package for me. I don't mind waiting a long time to get it, as long as I know it's safe and tracking is being updated.

I have had quite a few packages show that statement as the only status until the package is delivered.  Doesn't seem to be very helpful as a tracking system.

usps kinda isnt very good with tracking to be honest, probably now less than before.  It sounds by that update that USPS hasnt even received the package yet? i usually take pics of receipts as proof that i did send it.

Yep. I hope it is actually on it's way and not forgotten in some dark corner in a USPS warehouse somewhere. Or even worse, the package was lost or stolen. Brazilian postal services can't track the item outside the country unless USPS updates their tracking first. So until it arrives in Brazil, I'm virtually blind on where it is. I hope it arrives, like yours.
