As a subscriber and viewer of Ben G Thomas on YouTube (link: https://youtube.com/c/BenGThomas), by the time I created this post, I was watching his newest video (dated May 5, 2021) and I got informed of this project. THRINAKS stands for THerapsid Researchers' INitiative for African Karoo Study. The THRINAKS project is a field school organised in South Africa by the Evolutionary Studies Institute of Johannesburg, which aims at training a future generation of African Palaeontologists. YouTubers Ben G. Thomas and Doug A. James helped to spread awareness about this project (and hence as a subscriber and viewer of Ben G Thomas' channel, got informed). The aim is to collect the equivalent of €10 000 so that this field school would be free of charge for the students. By the time of this post, €6,294 has been collected, that is 62% of the objective has been attained. You can help by donating as least as €1 through this link:
https://www.ulule.com/thrinaks-2021-feat-ben-g-thomas/?utm_campaign=presale_125298&utm_source=shared-from-Ulule-project-page-on---http.referer--. The crowdfunding was created on the 23rd of April and ends on the 3rd of June 2021.

I like that they went with this very tortured acronym just for the allusion to Thrinaxodon.

A worthy cause, certainly.
