Hi all  :) My name is Jacqueline and I've finally made my way to recollecting my childhood Dino toys! I still have some of them, although I have to look through things to find all of them. My main interest is in recollecting my first tiny toy dinosaurs! They're around 1" long or high, very pliable, and some glow in the dark. They don't have a brand name stamped on them. I used to get them without packaging at a wonderful little toy store; they were in a small box (one of many) on a shelf, and they had many different dinosaurs. The Main ones I'm looking for are the plesiosaurs! As a child, I would set them up in an ever-expanding group starting with one in the front, 2 behind them, 3 behind them, etc. I had around 10 or even more of the plesiosauruses! I still have 2 of them plus a pterodactyl  :D but I hope to recreate the entire collection, including many dinosaurs of that type, and other species in larger dinosaurs; I'm not sure if they're marked with a brand, but I'll certainly check on that! When I collected all of these, it was in the mid-late '80s and early '90s. I'm going to post a want list after I take pictures of at least the 3 little ones for reference. * in terms of locating the dinosaurs I've had, I thought that I should mention my location: the US.

Hello SunSnail, welcome to the forum! Yeah, many of us started  (re-) collecting figures out of nostalgia, then getting hooked (again). Enjoy your stay!

Welcome to the forum, your story has moved me regarding your beginnings as a collector and fan of the prehistoric world. Honestly, almost all of us who are in love with the prehistoric world and specifically with dinosaurs have started since we were little.

Welcome to the forum, Jacqueline. I hope you will be able to recollect all of your (some glow-in-the-dark) one-inch dinosaurs. I myself have three little glow-in-the-dark dinosaurs (Brachiosaurus, Triceratops and Stegosaurus) I got as a gift from someone a few decades ago, and they are kind of special to me, since they remind me of one of the best years in my life ^-^

Welcome to the forum! Happy hunting. The first thing I can think of are the K&M prehistoric miniatures, although I'm not aware of a glow-in-the-dark version: https://toyanimal.info/wiki/Wild_Republic_Mini_Prehistoric_animals
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

I thank everyone for the warm welcomes! I still have to get to wear my little Dinos are and take pictures! I hope to get to them within the next week (I did something to my ankle...). I'm excited to find out who else had the ones I had/have!

Hello Sunsail! It seems you collect about the same dino toys as I do: vintage stuff. OK, I admit vintage dino toys are far from being the most accurate things on this planet, but are we not nostalgic girls? I certainly am. Welcome from French Canada!
