It's hard to believe this is avatar_Libraraptor @Libraraptor's first book, as it's very well written. He told my story accurately but in his own words, weaving it into the larger narrative of his tale. I don't know hardly any German, but I was able to use the free Google translate app to read it. 21st century magic... I would encourage any other dinosaur fans to pick his book up and do the same. It can be purchased on Amazon:

I for one can say I'm a proud member of Homo sapiens palaonerdensis!

I noticed the blue Kronosaurus toy on the table in the centre spread image in the book. :)

I too have my free copy. I'll be trying out the Google translate as recommended by avatar_BlueKrono @BlueKrono to save me some time.

I didn't even notice that at first, haha! The MPC makes a fine stand-in for the Marx.

Yes, there are some hints at the content. In addition to the protagonists of the book, some stories are indicated by small details. :))

Thank you very much for the advice  :)  I'm not alone

You never were. I wrote the book both about and for palaeo-addicts :))

Last Thursday I gave a reading in my hometown bookstore. What an honour! It was a home game and I was quite comfortable reading in front of 30 people. The audience told me it was inspiring and chaotic and never boring. One bookseller said she wasn´t even interested in earth history but could listen to me for hours.
That is what I mean when I speak of actively creating great good places in our direct vicinity. It needs some people on stage, some people in front of it and the will to have a good time together.

Busy again with my cladistics booth.

And look what a friend of mine spotted in a big bookstore in Münster! I swear he didn´t smuggle it in there!

My wife gave me this merchandise hoodie for Christmas. What a beautiful idea. Although the cover is not everyone´s cup of tea, I still love it, albeit it may not represent the content  to 100%.

Yesterday I was on stage reading from my book. I was accompanied by a acoustic guitar duo named "filosofia" who played mediterranean sounds very passionately. What didn´t seem to get together very well according to the announcement went out really, really well. We played and read to 15 paying people, and I was very proud to be part of  this.

Next on schedule is my performance with Achim from the Münster Museum of Natural History. It will be fun! Dino-Palaver means "Dinosaur-babble". We aim to entertain the audience by talking dinosaurs in an easy, casual way without forgetting scientific expertise. The text translates: "Two "dino-children talk to each other and the audience about dinosaurs and co. Admission is free."

New booking requests are fluttering into the house! I am so proud to have set this ball rolling.

After an explosive start, sales of my own copies are currently a bit sluggish. I beat the advertising drum, record podcasts and organize readings every now and then. But it is no longer so easy to get people to spend 20 euros in return for a wild adventure trip. I think it's about staying persistent and continuing to believe in oneself.

It's quite normal for book sales to drop off after the excitement of the launch (in my limited experience, at least). But keep plugging away with events and you'll grow your audience.

Good luck avatar_Libraraptor @Libraraptor may the force be with you !
Is your book available in English by any chance ? I don't speak German but I would be thrilled to read it :)

No, avatar_Protopatch @CharlieNovember , it´s  not available in English. That was not part of my contract :( I even think it could do respectably in the English speaking market, since readers there are used to books of this kind. "My Beloved Brontosaurus" by Brian Switek, "The Last Dinosaur Book" by W.J.D. Mitchell or "Passion to the Bones" by Elaine Howard were main inspirations to my work.

Hello everyone,

here´s a little update on my book project.

In a review of a well-known German journal ("FOSSILIEN- Erdgeschichte erleben"), the book received a purchase recommendation from the editor-in-chief. He is also the director of a natural history museum in Stuttgart, so I am really, really proud.

Sales on the Internet are bobbing along.

My publisher still hasn't informed me about the sales in the stationary bookstores, which I think is a great pity. The cooperation could be mch better. But I think that's the way it is. Now they're chasing another sow through the village.

I also wanted to read an audio book, which I had been promised for February. Here, too, there is no good cooperation and flow of information.

Unfortunately, due to a lack of registrations, a planned reading in a book café had to be cancelled in February.

In a regional museum in a neighboring town, as a direct reaction to the book, I was given the opportunity by the director to offer museum educational activities for children on two days. Both days were very successful. Not in terms of book sales, but in terms of my mission: to bring  prehistoric times closer to the world. ^-^

After all, through spilling sales of my own copies, I come closer to the goal of at least coming out of the project financially plus/minus zero.

If one or the other German-speaking member doesn't know anything about my book yet: Inform yourself and buy a book, directly through me at best ^-^  It's worth it, I'm looking forward to your PM!

Glad you had such a positive review.  Given the journal in which it appeared, that should push a few more people to reach for their credit card.

As all authors know it´s hard to keep the balance between profitability and passion :) Hopefully the review will show appealing results, but I honestly don't really expect it.

Brief update: so far I have sold 520 copies, mainly in the German-speaking area, of course. Soon I will finally record the audiobook - it's a matter of honor that this is done without artificial intelligence. So, one-third of the edition has already been sold after 10 months, which means that on average 1.73 copies have been sold per day since release. Crazy! Thank you all so far for your support!

If you want a signed copy, feel free to ask me via PM!
