*** NO LONGER FOR SALE ***

Kaiyodo 'Dinoland' 1/20 Scale Pre-Built/Pre-Painted figure, sculpted by Shinobu Matsumura in a fantastic Gregory S. Paul/Mark Hallet style popular in the late 1980's and early 1990's.

This is the first version of this figure in pre-painted/pre-built form, in Grey with Brown highlights. The original Rosewood base and metal leg rod are missing. Note the bottom of the feet are drilled for the leg rod, a unique feature for this release.

Also unique to this release is the joints at the neck, arms, legs and both tail joints being left loose, where Kaiyodo glued the joints on later pre-built versions.

This has been in my smoke-free collection for almost 30 years, purchased from Monstrosities back in the day. Condition is what I would call "Good." The figure is complete, no chips or cracks. It needs a good clean, and it has some paint scuffs/rubs, the worst of which is on the tail, shown in the photo below.

It has never been displayed in direct sunlight, so paint remains shiny and vibrant. The figure does not stand on its own, and will require work to make it stand. As is common with these figures, the feet are out of true, and will need a heat/repose/cool to correct the feet, and a replacement leg rod and base acquired.

At one time, this was The Definitive Tyrannosaurus rex Figure, and remains as a great piece of dinosaur toy/figure history.

Offered to CONUS residents at $175.00 shipped, payment via Paypal Friends/Family preferred.

Please PM your interest.

Thank you.

That's a great deal. It took me YEARS to find one.  James Gurney also used this for his Dinotopia series as a reference.
