Impossible to limit to five....but...here goes.
Currently, I guess my favorites are:
Spinosaurus (obviously), Deinonychus, Giganotosaurus, Therizinosaurus, and Amargasaurus.
Again, too hard to decide, so these aren't necessarily my absolute favorites (exception: Spinosaurus  ;) ).
I could go into....Utahraptor, Masaikasaurus, Yutyrannus, Deinosuchus (dinosaurish?), Suchomimus, Ankylosaurus, Irritator, of course Tyrannosaurus, Augustinia, Diaboloceratops, Pentaceratops, Torvosaurus, Kentrosaurus, Miragaia, Styracosaurus, Carnotosaurus, Ceratosaurus, Meglosaurus....you catch my drift.
Sorry for any misspelling-I typed pretty fast.  ;D

You got all but one name correctly spelt. Good job for typing fast. ;D

I have a new list of my favourite dinosaurs

5. Gorgosaurus
4. Alexornis
3. Shoebill   ;)
2. Troodon
1. Leaellynasaura

What's with all the Barney hate anyway? I mean, he's creepy and all to an adult..but it's a kid's thing. Unless I'm missing something...?
Surely if kids are enjoying it then it's one good thing?
It is a product of market saturation beyond annoyance. The constant commercials, more toys books and merchandising than even jurassic park ever thought of, and finally that annoying song !!! The gufus sounding voice ...just all of it grows tiring.
Surely if kids are enjoying it, then its a good thing? Uh....not sure thats such sound logic there
Late reply..but things in the US must be different than over here. The last time I saw a commercial for Barney was about 6 years ago, and that was a toy. Barney pretty much died in the '90s over here. Pretty interesting :) I didn't know things were that bad.

See the following video. I especially relate to Wakko when he says, "Are we being punished?" That's how I felt as a kid whenever someone made me watch Barney.

Thanks, that kinda helps. Btw, I loved Animaniacs. They don't make them like they used to.

But I'll try ;D

5.pretty much any Ceratopsian or Sauropod....i hope that's not too many for one number, hah oh well...too many good ones to choose from I couldn't decide... :o
4. Saltasaurus
3. Monolophosaurus
2. Vagaceratops
1. Allosaurus or Amargasaurus, or Pachyrhinosaurus.....hard to choose, I ended in a tie

laticauda

I love this!  The first two are easy (not just going with the flow) but they are favorites from childhood.

1. Allosaurus:  Childhood favorite
2. Stegosaurus (stenops) Basically a tie with Allosaurus
3. Utahceratops: A new favorite
4. Minmi: another new favorite
5. Acrocanthosaurus: Just awesome.

Not left out, but just couldn't get to the top five:
6. Styracosaurus
7. Utahraptor
8. Astrodon
9. Gastonia
10. Kentrosaurus
11. Mirigia
12. Diplodocus

laticauda

People have chosen a wide range of dinosaurs as their favorites.

I would say up to this point Tyrannosaurus Rex leads the way in popularity, followed by Big Al, Acrocanthosaurus, Therizinosaurus, and then it all bunches up.

Top 5 dinosaurs and prehistoric animals...that's a tough one...
In no particular order:
Ceratosaurus
Styracosaurus
Dimorphodon
Diplodocus
Mosasaurus
and too many others to name...
Blame the old books and movies I saw as a kid for those choices. ;D
Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

laticauda

Plateosaurus

Manatee

In no particular order:

1. Yutyrannus
