Quote from: Ajax88 on January 07, 2025, 09:12:33 PMThe suspense will only make it better! Haha. Mine came faster than I expected, I selected sea shipping to save some money, and it arrived only 34 days later. Not bad when the estimated time was 60 days! I had a bit of buyers remorse spending so much, but when I open the box that all disappeared.
The suspense is killing me  ^-^ Mine also comes by heavy parcel sea shipping and it has been in transit still for 36 days. My sea ship might have been a rowing boat definitely.  :)) But two days ago it arrived in my country so the wait is almost near the end.

Turkeysaurus

I have to wait 2 to 4 years for mine but at least i have seven it's photos.

IT'S HEREEEEEEE  :))  :))  :))  :))  :))  :))  :))

I can't be happier! When I wasn't expecting it all (it was in my town in the post office hands but it was very late, 9 pm in the evening), I got a call from the Correos postwoman saying if I was at home and she came several minutes later with that ENORMOUS BOX in a cart.

Thanks the figure is smaller than the box, hehe.

I can't even explain how HAPPY I am. It is a dream come true and there he is, 39 days later after his trip in rowing boat. :))

The reactions of my family had been very diverse: My husband has said we don't have room for that beast and my daughters are over the moon. I understand them perfectly: just imagine you got a figure that is half your SIZE.  :)) They love that figure as much as me and he has spent some time making friends with them.

I told them that in a museum they put Christmas hats to some of the dinosaurs and of course he had to be handsome, too:

He also loves to read!

As some of you have said, the colour is amazing. It is called "blue" but it is not blue at all. It is very dark grey, almost black, not a hint of blue. And with that lot of washing, he just looks like a badass guy or very experienced in life. The colour is perfect if you want something more neutral. I think it fits him pretty well and it will go nicely in my bedroom. But for now it will spend at least two weeks on my desk so I can have a look at it all day.

You must have had such fun introducing him to your daughters and seeing their reactions avatar_Duna @Duna. I enjoyed seeing the photos - so different from all the others I've seen of his brethren!

Carnoking

When photos were first released of this beast, the green variant was my front runner but the more I see of this "blue" variant, the more it seems to be the one for me. I suppose that's one benefit for waiting this long to order one.

It's interesting to hear that it looks grey or even black, because in your first photo it does seem to have a light grey appearance but it almost looks like it is teal colored in the second! Makes me all the more keen to see one in person.

Congrats on the awesome acquisition!

It's definitely a "gunmetal" blue, dark gray with undertones of blue.

Turkeysaurus

It's my favorite too from the beginning but it was already out of stock when i have to buy brown variant. At least it's my second favorite.

Look at what has arrived today! :o  I wasn't expecting them at all (they don't usually deliver on Saturdays) ...

I was very late with the Pentaceratops (I already had the Papo one) and it was out of stock in some stores, but I easily found one. I liked the darker version.
I also wanted the Amargasaurus because it is the best and in scale with the other sauropods. I wasn't in a hurry because I already had the PNSO first version which was my first PNSO figure (how long ago). I won't sell it because it still looks elegant because of the base.

And now, some pictures in comparison to the HUGE member of the family, which was interrupted in the middle of playing. Very cozy with his new pink socks and his -very long- scarf. It's amazing how a normal sized figure like the Pentaceratops is completely DWARFED by this titan.

The Alamosaurus is the only figure that can rival his size.

And another nice scene, a very angry adult stepping to protect his offspring (the Collecta Argentinosaurus) from the attack of a hungry Mapusaurus. I didn't realize at first how the colours of prey and predator are in the same colour palette. So cool.

SidB

After the sizeable investment that yo put into acquiring these big sauropods, avatar_Duna @Duna , it's nice to see that you're actually having fun with them , beyond just putting them on the shelf to collect dust. Good for you!

Those pink leg warmers are such fun!

My green Argentinosaurus has now been sent to Dinosaur Models Artworks for repaint and also modification of the teeth. New teeth will be based on pictures of the Argentinosaurus skeleton reconstruction in the Museo Municipal Carmen Funes. If this works out well, I may also get the teeth of the blue-gray one modified at a later point.

Any reason for repainting green one?

Reason is that it does not have this somewhat dirty look which the gray-blue one has. I feel that this dirty look of the gray-blue one suits such a large and probably old animal very well. Also the seam lines on the head in particular are not so well covered and concealed. This is much better on the blue-gray one. Finally, I sometimes just do this to get a unique piece and also to support some of the artists.

T @thomasw100 Just waiting for the results, it would be amazing.

It's both fun and gratifying to see a very good figure become as perfect as we can get it, according to the present state of our knowledge. Post a picture of this updated Majungasaurus when you get it back, E @edu , if you can.

Will post some pictures when it is completed, but this will take some time. The work is just getting started.

Turkeysaurus

I might paint "blue" mask into different color. It doesn't seem too complex so an amateur like myself probably can do it.

Maybe same red tone unifided with red color on top of it's nose. Maybe black, Brown or dark green mask... or yellow, orange or no mask at all.

Also i'll probably paint a bit Styracosaurus as well. Some touch ups to make it more striking.

I gave the horns on my Styraco black tips. Just a little to make it pop. :) I think the face re-paint of the Argent could be a good idea, that blue clashes a little bit.
