Quote from: Blade-of-the-Moon on January 21, 2025, 09:32:51 PMSugo says they are now shipping direct from WDragon you would think that would lower the cost? But it does seem to take awhile.  I have points with Sugo from ordering other items like their Godzilla line so it takes a few dollars off. Also the exchange rate with the USD is better on my end.

I have the Nanmu V1 and V2 and both have merits as did the Dragon Soul.  It's odd but it felt like if they had combined all three they would have had one great product.  I sold my DS even though the head was nicer the rest of the body wasn't.  The v2 is pretty good just off more in the sculpt and paint.  If you can find it I recommend the v1 overall.

Interesting. Some people prefer v2 others v1.
V1 is hard to find now.

I had V1 and now V2, and I think I prefer V1 too, the detailing is worse, but the pose is way better
And now I'm gonna get this new W Dragon to replace the Nanmu

I think it depends on what you want. I posted comparisons of them all in the past thread for Nanmu, there are a lot of little differences. None of them are 100% exact to the film. V1 works with a lot of the Papo, Rebor and Nanmu pieces from the around the same time. It's about 80% accurate?  The V2 is larger and works with Nanmu's later releases, the Giga and Rex and I think an adult version of the WDragon Indominus Rex. It's around 75% accurate?  If Nanmu makes a SMART Series Spino and it looks good I might sell the V1 just because I can get more poses out of it.

Ah okay.
If you guy's could choose between nanmu V2 and the w dragon original what would you choose?

Nanmu V2, though that's more of what your getting for your money, WDRAGON wasn't good at paint back then and it has the shorter neck so it has issues. That's not to say the Nanmu doesn't but I feel it just looks better overall.

If you can wait the release of the W-Dragon to compare the final product with the Nanmu maybe ?
No pre-order price with Sugo Toys though...

Yeah th photo's of new one look very good. Hopefully the nanmu is still around by the time we see in hand photo of w dragon in case it's not as good haha

Wow just checked Sugo and after shipping it works out £250 plus extra 20% Tax on arrival here. So like 3 times more expensive then Nanmu. Will it actually be 3 times better haha

Blade-of-the-Moon

SUGO told me that they ship direct as it's faster now.

Waiting is an idea but it will likely sell out before then and you will have to wait for a 2nd shipment.

I don't think it will be 3 times better lol

Tell me about it. My last shipment was 350.00 via UPS from China then they charged me 65.00 before the driver would hand it over.

I actually got him from a U.S. retailer. Payment plans help so much.

Oh yeah, these big statues can be overwhelming. I try to space mine a bit, but what do you do when a couple hit at once?   I may eventually sell my big P1 Spino if another company makes one I like better.

Not gonna lie, that looks pretty good. Much better than the previous female and male Rexes. Should be in scale with the Spinosaurus?
