This may well be old news to most but just in case, i stumbled across this figure of a 17 inch gorilla by Lanard.  It is 1/18 scale for the Kong in the 2005 movie (which was 25 feet tall) and would work well with any of the 22 inch Mattel T-rex figures, or for carrying around your own custom Ann Darrow figure or for whatever.  Reviews on it are very good.
