I think I'm overanalyzing, but this piece doesn't looks like a mix of trailer 1 and 2 versions?

and here the new render that came out today:

Blade-of-the-Moon

Possible, the head looks a bit different and the coloration seems variable from animal to animal? The black markings look more pronounced on both trailers and the DD than it does on the new render.

And not even the DD pictures seems to have the same black marks/stripes

Blade-of-the-Moon

I'm not sure that image is an actual production piece or if it's just a ai/cg version.

Blade-of-the-Moon

It's so hard to tell anymore..especially without the rest of the photo it was edited from if it IS a real statue.

You may be right at that.

Blade-of-the-Moon

It's pretty close.  I'm a bit serious as to why they are matching art files and not being allowed to print from the actual files Universal has since they are official collectibles?

Cpt Red 3eard

It's possible that the files aren't compatible between the software that DD uses.

Also, I dunno if it's been pointed out, but I'm pretty sure the Rebirth rex has a huge scale on its jaw as an homage to old Knight era renderings.

blnadal

Maybe there are contractual issues with the original 3D artist, they can't make profut using his/her model, so they need to hire someone to copy it?

I noticed the iguana like scales on the rex and on the aquilops universal made.

As far as I understand, once universal hires an artist and they tr reset the art universal owns it.  If they license the rights to it to be made then they can. Now human likeness is a bit more problematic.

This Mosasaurus will pair so nice with W-Dragon one

Blade-of-the-Moon

Hope it and the spinosaurus compliment each other

I`m sure they will, but I don`t think DD will make the 4 spinosaurus
