Also from me thanks for the pictures of the red-brown Brachiosaurus.

It just happened that my one also came today and I can confirm that in natural light it looks so much darker and natural than what the promotional images would suggest. With this color scheme the Brachiosaurus has some giraffe vibes and this fits the ecological niche that Brachiosaurus has occupied very well.

Question to all that received the Brachhisaurus already: Is there a pattern concerning the color variant of the Huayangosaurus or is this completely random? I got the brown one as well and so far this seems to be a common case for those who got the red-brown Brachiosaurus.

Thanks for the pictures Manospundylus
I'm really looking for more pictures and videos before choosing mine.
I really like the first photo as the Brachiosaurus appears really red, I hope the real one is like that.

MLMjp

Red looking gorgeous, and I thought I was set on that, but after looking back at the green one...Damn it! I'm still not sure! I keep overthinking about which one will look better with the other sauropods, with the rest of the collection....AGH!

BRACHIO IS HERE!  ^-^  ^-^  ^-^

I'm still amazed by Correos schedule, they have just dropped the package at 9 pm (and he has told me they work until 10 pm!). I wasn't expecting it today because the tracking said it was in another province. And something that may be interesting for avatar_MLMjp @MLMjp ... it was delivered customs free! I paid nothing, another pleasant surprise.

I chose the blue "limited edition" because I wanted it to be blue and that creamy dorso looked phenomenal in the first pictures. But to my surprise ... it is not blue, not the blue it looks in the pictures of everyone and even in mine from my phone! If it has any blue, it is a very very dark indigo-like and subtled by very dark grey.
I got the brown Huayangosaurus (the one I preferred) but I must admit the green one is better painted (not the application, the choice of colors and stripes).

After seen it in person to be less blue (it is much less blue than it looks, I promise), I would have bought the lasagna one, definitely. But it is still enough different to be displayed together with the blue Argentinosaurus. Probably the other 2 colours would make better contrast. ARRgg, how difficult is to choose!

And the family of the Big Three:

And for the lovers of the Old and the New like me, I couldn't pass the oportunity to make him march with such ol' beauties. I realized he looks wonderful with those kind of spots just like his herd. Even the legs are positioned the same!

Then I will proceed to order from Lana Time inmediately...

...inmediately after I decide which version to get ::)

That's the most difficult thing, I assure you! By the way, I don't know if you have more than one option in the shipping, I only had one: the 70€ Standard shipping (and no customs for my surprise).

Only that option unfortunately, I made an account a while ago to calculate the total cost and that's all there is for shipping options.

I hope Haolonggood will be more creative for combining colors in future. There aren't many colors but at least different combinations can be done.

For example i love green Brachiosaurus but orange as secondary color has been done to death.

Brown/orange variant with a blue tail from Argentinosaurus to PNSO lingwulong.

Paleo Flo

avatar_Duna @Duna : I know exactly how you feel. After the last couple of photos of the lasagna-variant I asked myself if that was the right decision. But I have so much red/brown dinosaur models in my collection. So the mosaic blue one stands out from the crowd and I am still happy with it. It depends on the lighting how it looks to me.

Also I said to myself: you won't have these different colour oportunities from other brands. So if PNSO for example do a Brachiosaurus than you have to take it if you want that species.

So everything is allright...and how knows...in a crazy moment you can go and buy a second one ;D

I love the "oldie" group shot. As you say, the mottling goes very well.

I think that somehow Haolonggood still appears to have a limited color palette at their disposal. They make very clever use of it, but nevertheless it seems limited. Not sure why this is the case. They should invest into expansion of their color palette and into high-precision molding machines for producing smaller figures. Even if this means a 10 percent price increase.

Yes, I hope HLG prioritizes increasing paint job quality and diversity, now that their sculpts are pretty solid. I think it would be advantageous for them to keep knocking out great ornithischians and sauropods, but limit theropods to species PNSO hasn't done yet, as its going to be hard to out-do them on most. I would still gladly pay 25-30 bucks for some smaller figures like Ceratosaurus, Regaliceratops and Kentrosaurus. As long as the paint is good. I would love to see some darker richer paint schemes like Eofauna does.

I'm quite surprised with your statement about the blue Brachiosaurus Duna, as it indeed appears really striking blue on your pictures.
Although, the most accurate renders would be Dinodragon reviews or last pictures from Lanatimeshop I guess.
It appears to be a dark blue slightly grey.
And while it looks good, this make me more confident to get the brown version, I need to see more pictures/videos of it.

Turkeysaurus

I don't think Haolonggood should increase the price for better quality.

At similar prices PNSO would be better choice.

They might stop doing 1 : 35 large sauropods too if prices go high.

I think some photos from avatar_Paleo Flo @Paleo Flo fits  the color description of avatar_Duna @Duna for blue Brachiosaurus.

These seem under room light with no flash.

You are right that we should be careful with demanding too much from Haolonggood. It would be really bad if they would stop doing large sauropods. But I anyway expect that they will slow down with the sauropods because the market will become saturated at some point. The fact that they have announced that they want to diversify into extant animals is already an indication that we will probably get fewer dinosaur species in the years to come.

You are right. That's why I took two pics per motiv. One with and one without Flash.

Despite that...I like the blue Brachiosaurus a lot

I'm very glad it's actually this type of blue instead of brighter promo pics.

For those who have instagram, Lana Time Shop has some nice pictures of the three Brachiosaurus together:

Thanks for the new pics! Yes, those reflect perfectly the colour of the brachio. I don't know why most of the pictures look blue (even mine) but it is not. It's more grey than blue.

Here is how it looks in my picture:

And this is how it looks in real eye. Grey.
