Wow. Haven't written here for a while.

Anyway, the good news--I just got a bunch of the late 2013 and some of the 2014 figures for the store.

Bad news--I'm not going to be able to take orders for the next couple weeks due to schedules and updates. So they'll be up around the 17th of May. I am also working on an improved (I hope) shipping policy now that I have some data to work with, figuring out what works and what doesn't.

So do you sell papo? I live in Canada, and it costs a lot to buy from the US.

So far I do not--turns out, it costs a lot to carry Papo in Canada as well! That said I have started the process if things lined up right.  If you pm me with a list of what you are looking for I can see what I can do; a few pre-orders/some advance interest would certainly help push me in that direction  ;)

So I finally got my latest Mojo figures up--all of 2013 finally made it to Canada (there's a behind-the-times joke in there somewhere), plus a few 2014 ones, like the Thhylacine, Pegasus, Unicorn and snowy owl. The other 2014s missed the boat first time in, so they might be here...later?

Anyway, I wrote up a little bit about the 2013 figures here. Someday I will be better organized to do more writing up and such.

Now if I could just get the site to work right, so I could update the shipping policy...

Will you write a review on the Thylacine?
Walking With Monsers:
[about Lystrosaurus] Astonishingly, their vast herds make up more than half of all life on Earth. Never again will a single species do so well.

Walking With Monsters: (Hynerpeton) To avoid injury the males demonstrate their strength  in a strange  push up contest.

It'll take me a little while, but yes, I'll put something out about the 2014 things as well.

Overall, though the thylacine is a really nice figure. They did a good job of making it look dog-ish but also maintaining the slightly strange appearance of a dog-ish marsupial. If that makes sense.

The out-of-package picture I have:

does it better justice than the stock photo. Only weird thing to me--the black eyes. Again, as much because marsupials are a little strange, but it's still noticeable.

Thanks and looks nice. I need a bigger one.

Hooray--I now have the 214 CollectA standard dinos, and many other figures, in stock. The Deluxes are delayed of course... :-\

Overall, CollectA looks much better in hand than in photos.

And the true winner this year?

I mean, look at the detail on this thing:

But the anaconda is pretty great too

EDIT--I suppose it would make sense to add a link. http://faunafigures.com/products-page/brand/collecta/collecta-prehistoric/?items_per_page=all

Hi Everybody!

So we've revamped the site--mostly the same, but with some changes to make navigating easier:

http://faunafigures.com/the-news-post-new-layout-new-options-new-shipping-policy/

Also opened up shipping locations and payment options (sort of--contact me).

And for Canadian buyers there is now a free-ship incentive.

And soon--soon--I will get another post up about the new stuff I just got in!
(Note: I'll be copy-pasting this on the ATF as well).

More updating!

This time, as we move into a new year, I am reviewing where some suppliers are going. Safari appears to be (slowly) working itself out.

GeoWorld not so much.

So while I figure out how to deal with that company--I am putting all the Jurassic Hunters figures I have in stock on sale for 15% off! They are all $8.49 Canadian (given how our dollar is doing, that makes them really cheap in $US)!

Supplies are limited, so I thought I would provide a heads up to the DTF before I put out further info, and put up my blog post.

You can see what I have here:
http://faunafigures.com/category/brand/geoworld/

And yes, I can ship pretty much anywhere--and can make allowances for those who don't like Paypal, but youd have to contact me first.

I have real news again!

This has been a shaky year with suppliers so far--but of all companies, Replica Toy Fish has come through!

There is now a small-series striped bass and, important for people with dinosaur models--a longnose gar! Something for spinosaurids to eat!

They cost more than the original series (and not only because of the terrible Canadian dollar) but I think they're exciting. ;) I will have them up on the site soon. I also got restocked in everything except the 6" channel catfish, because those are completely out of stock (but I do still have one...just saying).

The available series is here: http://faunafigures.com/category/brand/replica-toy-fish/
Also, I have a Safari order actually on its way...I did say that I've had supply problems this year.

SBell

Big news! Just got my 2015 Safari order! I really prefer their new distribution model (it means I actually got stuff in!)

Mostly prehistoric and Incredible Creatures. And some other fun things!

You can see the new in stock (including some 2014 figures that just never made it here until now) here: http://faunafigures.com/product-tag/newsafari2015/

And, I got restocked in a bunch of the best and most popular Safari models too:http://faunafigures.com/product-tag/safarirestock2015/

I am finally able to say that I have new models from CollectA in stock! And some new Replica Toy Fish too!

First, the modern animals:

The Amur leopard, Springbok, Chiru and Babirusa! There are several others that did not come in yet...supplier issues.

Prehistoric animals:

Smilodon, Moropus, Xiangguanlong, Daeodon, Temnodontosaurus, Daxiatitan, Nasutoceratops, Medusaceratops and Pliosaurus.

As a bonus, the Pliosaurus has lampreys attached to it--they're like the first lamprey figures! On a base! Also, the pliosaurus is pretty cool...

Also, I have one left of the new 1: 4 Guidraco:

It is sufficiently enormous. Very cool model!

And finally, new from Replica Toy fish:

They are all part of the 3" line. A Guadalupe bass, Adult alligator gar, and juvenile alligator gar (spotted one). Those last two, like the 3"longnose gar, are great for diorama purposes (finally, something for the spinosaurs to eat)!

The new figures can be seen at http://faunafigures.com/product-tag/rtf-2015/ and http://faunafigures.com/product-tag/collecta-2015/

SBell

Thought I would mention this here, as some advance info:

It's the first models of what I am calling the FaunaFiguresFishes line. They will be stamped with FFF on the belly.

First, Polypterus senegalus!

Second, Protopterus annectens

The third one is Pantodon buchholzi but I don't have a prototype photo yet (the fins are...awkward).

For the dinosaur-inclined, both of these would work alongside large spinosaurs or crocodiles as food. Just saying.

Stay tuned for more info.

Well, this is exciting. I'll be keeping an eye on those.

I did think of you, yes!

SBell

Now in the store at faunafigures.com, I have just received the deluxe Spinosaurus, great white, leaping Nile crocodile and blacktip reef shark!

Black tip Reef Shark & Open-jaw Great White Shark

Leaping Nile Crocodile and Deluxe Spinosaurus!

Also got in the gigantic Guidraco figure, but I only have one left...!

Those are all available in the store.

http://faunafigures.com/product-tag/collecta-2015/

Also, finally, a chance to let a Spinosaurus eat a gar (also available in the store)!

SBell

I just wanted to let everyone know, I'm running a year-end sale at the store; almost everything is on sale (except some newer CollectA and Safari).

I have also extended the free shipping promo that applies to Canadian customers to our US customers as well!

http://faunafigures.com/cyber-monday-sale-although-it-will-be-a-little-longer/

If for no other reason, I can't find Mojo anymore, so I need to make room to being in something else--to say nothing of the incoming Safari and CollectA this year (and a lot of Safari is expected in January as it is!).

Also, keep an eye out because I'll be butting out announcements about the exclusive FISH MODELS! Butterflyfish, Senegal bichir and West African lungfish!

Thanks for taking a look!
