Well, you're gonna have to be patient. I went to two Targets today, even asked and had no idea what I was talking about. Patience has never been my strong suit, but it appears that this time I will need it.

Now, I don't know if any of you care about Carnage Toysmith Dinos, but I am always looking for them. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Toysmith-Articulated-STEGOSAURUS-Action-Figure-Dinosaur-14-/141378141387?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20eacb3ccb

Stegosaurus. Looks a bit...faded don't you think?

Edit: Same seller is selling a buncha Kaiyodo Dinomania figures for cheap. I'mma bid on a few of those!
I thought artscollectibles (formerly Linkandpin) left the business. Anyway, he doesn't ship internationally and he even blocks his auctions from international buyers.

His main complaints were that everyone kept undercutting him in cut-throat fashion. For those of us who know what the catalogues said, they really just liked making massive margins. Since they weren't willing to adjust their pricing, people were less likely to buy (they even had ads in PT magazine outright blaming their tough times on the competition--an odd strategy, telling customers that everyone else is less expensive).

If you like prehistoric fish, you will want this lot. Decent price too.

And I just happen to like prehistoric fish (or anything, really.)  Any guesses genus for these guys. The red/yellowish guy in the foreground is an athrodire I believe, but any guesses on his yellow buddy or the little red guy behind him?

I very much appreciate your pointing out auctions like this. I get more excited over obscure figures of very obscure critters than I do for stuff like new Battats, and I'm pretty excited about the new Battats.

The pinkish-yellow one on the right is an acanthodiian of some sort (you can see the spines along the belly). They aren't paired, but it is a cheesy plastic figure--and the only acanthodian figure ever.

The other interesting ones might be the strange bass and angler in the background.

stargatedalek

I'm pretty sure the angler is AAA, and I'm not sure about the bass/perch

EmperorDinobot

I did not know that seller was a dino-butt. My bad.

Of course, only a few figures are worth it. ANd they all appear to line up nicely in this particular photo:

For international buyers...the shipping is idiotic. Because the seller uses the GSP thing.

I like some of these but i have some of these guys. But I want the prehistoric fish!! :( shipping is a bit much. :(

There are now a few options for purchasing the new Battat Terra items on Ebay, including from dans_dinosaurs.

It's totally worth it though. It only seems to pop up every few months, and often in bigger, more expensive lots.

I bought all 4 figures at Target today.  They were $7.50 each.

True, but if your in the US or somewhere that has Target that would be your best bet.  Maybe they will eventually show up overseas latter, or there will be a way to order them.  If you have to get them right now then of course you would have to Ebay.  Shipping could be a big expense.  What I don't understand is if they are all the same price then why on Ebay are they anywhere from $8 to $19.95?

Look carefully. After adding domestic shipping costs, they are both about the same price.

I can also offer a lower price to anyone who contacts me personally.

20 bucks, shipping included, is a fair deal for the new Battats if you don't have access to a Target. Those re-sellers aren't getting them at a wholesale price so it has to be worth their time and investment to make them available. Taking into account the shipping costs, it's only 6 or 7 dollars more than it would be if Target sold them direct from their website. I wish I could have picked up Dinotales figures for free when I bought a lemon drink, but what're you gonna do? Such is life.

Here is a listing on the U.S. eBay for the Sega Tyrannosaurus. I just went ahead and bought one after a day of internal debate on if I wanted to spend that kind of money. Seems like a good price though at $53.99 with free shipping.

Two more available.  :D

It's at $64.99.  I just sold one to one of my regular buyers for less than $50.

Huh, must have raised the price. I did get mine when it was "on sale" apparently. $53 didn't seem bad to me, what with the free shipping. I know I saw that one member got one for $40 on the UK eBay but I don't know what the shipping cost was for them.

G--

I should have been more clear that I wasn't disputing or criticizing the price you paid but rather just letting anyone interested hear another example of my being able to get items from Japan at good prices as noted in the thread I started last week.

Oh I see. I'm still not sure if what I paid was a good price.  I assume it was but maybe I should have gone through someone such as yourself.

brettnj

What I can tell you--when I breathe long enough to realize I'm merely self-promoting when I could be offering useful information--is that my buyer paid I think $8 for the figure on YAJ.  My source and I only added $2 each for the sale.  The rest is all shipping--to my source, to me, to the buyer.
