Found this and was wondering if I would be ripping off any original artist by buying it...

If you have to ask, you probably already know the answer. Even ignoring the seller's location in China, they are almost certainly illegal recasts of someone else's hard work. You'll notice the manufacturer information is completely absent. You can bet the Alien/Predator models they are offering aren't legally licensed either.

I have bought from that seller and they do send what they advertise. I cannot comment on the authenticity of any given piece but the seller is not a scam, if that helps.

postsaurischian

I'm pretty sure that these skulls are bootlegs.
I have seen some of them before and the item describtion ("Dilophosaurus , also known as Diplodocus, .......") says a lot about the seller's concern with Dinosaurs.
What finally convinced me is the fact that this seller is offering the same skull under different names for different prices. I'll pass.

Alexxitator

Yah, I think I indeed was leaning towards that same answer most of you guys gave...
They are very pretty though...
It's a thin line to cross between honesty and honest greed I suppose. Ah well, I'll pass then.

Jurassic World miniatures - pack of 15 (the full set, I believe?) at reasonable price. Or they are available individually. http://www.ebay.com/itm/15-Pack-Jurassic-World-Dinosaurs-Walmart-Exclusive-INDOMINUS-REX-Dino-Blind-Bag-/111657538235?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19ff4ed2bb. Edit - Sorry, just noticed high shipping charge, maybe not so good a deal after all.

Here's what they look like (from other thread):

sauroid

those JW minis look very nice.
"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

CityRaptor

Looking at the other eBay prices for them...pretty insane. I mean 120$ for 12 of them....woah!
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend

Too expensive. There's a few nice figures in there, but not enough to warrant 500 bucks, let alone 800. 200, tops.

DinoLord

Yeah personally I'd even have a tough time paying $100 for that.
