Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Wait a few months and you'll be able to get one for a quarter of that at any TRU.

Well, I must say that except for the pronation of the arms (which can be fixed), I find this sculpt a lot more pleasing to the eye than that other Ceratosaurus toy put out by you-know-who.

This one has the feel and look of a live animal. Not interested in resin sculpts, its a lot of money for a smallish figure, but if I did want a Ceratosaurus, this would be the one I'd get.

Now if their next piece is a "swinging Stegosaurus" to be juxtaposed against this model, well, that would be really, really, cool!!

Set of Dakin Jurassic Park figures being sold by our very own EmperorDinobot: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jurassic-Park-1993-Dakin-Set-of-6-Dinosaurs-T-rex-Dilophosaurus-Raptor-etc-/111984158970?hash=item1a12c6a8fa:g:4v8AAOSwUV9Wm20k

Ah yes, the first sickle claw missing JP Raptor sculpt. Hasbro took the wrong old line as an example for JW it seems.

Have Dakin figures really become worth that much though?

I dunno, I always find a lot stuff sold by him overpriced. No offense.

I don't think so, they are not that rare.

It's lovely retro, but for that price... umm, no...

Archinto

Its a high price, but totally Rad! The sculpture looks pretty large. I bought a free standing Fischner Apatosaurus for $250. Nowhere near as complex as this sculpture, but it gives you an idea. I've seen prices on his works even higher than this. Its all in the eye of the beholder. I'd drop a fat hunk of cash for it if I had it to spend, but would offer the guy less than he is asking.
I'm seeking Orsenigo and other interesting vintage dinosaurs. Contact me if you can help with my search!

I recently made an offer (for an item from a different seller) that was significantly less than the asking price and it was accepted. So, you can always make an offer. If they refuse, no harm done.  :)

Too expensive for me, but I always find historical sculptural pieces like this very interesting.

SBell

I just want pone of the fish...probably not worth the price of the whole thing!

DinoToyForum

Well, it hasn't sold yet. I expect it won't if it stays that price.

Blade-of-the-Moon

It's really cool..but I can just see this arriving in a hundred pieces from shipping.  " packed to the best of my skills"  isn't a confidence booster really..
