Quote from: stargatedalek on July 24, 2025, 08:47:56 PMA good condition Baryonyx and Blue whale though. I don't think that's an unreasonable asking price for the lot in this condition even before the gold, so I doubt it was a conscious forgery on this listings part. Especially since the description doesn't seem to mention the golden Iguanodon specifically.
I second this. I've seen a partial golden set of the Invictas over a decade ago, here in Toronto. There was a blurb about them, I think on the DTF, version one, I vaguely recollect. Seem to remember something about Invicta  making  a number of batches of these for some special circumstance or occasion. Rather on the rare side, it seems.
The buyer just posted in the Invicta thread, it turns out the gold variant was a fake
Ha! Go figure. Good thing that you didn't pull the trigger on this purchase, avatar_jamdrugstore @jamdrugstore . An once of caution worth a pound of cure (or something like that).

Idk what happened in shipping for that figure to go from the shining quality seemingly bestowed upon by king midas in the listing photos to the flaky krylon look with pieces falling off in the forum photo.
Even if it was never intended to deceive and was just a painted figure for the fun of it, you would at least assume the one who painted it would add some primer or sealer.
