Seems like this guy will have to repaint a lot of psittacosaurs. He'll end up hating the figure!  ;D

this is the thread/collection that inspires me! i do hope you'd consider publishing your photos (a book about prehistoric animal figure collectibles).

the Schleich Psittacosaurus is decent, but that chinasaur paint job is just horrible.

That's a great idea, I'd be very tempted by such thing.

Martin is used to the pittacosaurus parade...he has done dozens of them for me as well as similar species like protoceratops , Aracheoceratops, Udanoceratops, yinlong....etc. he probably even appreciates the break from theropod mania !
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

ceratopsian

Martin gets very few theropods from me either!

^-^   Vitae 1:35* Giganotosaurus carolinii  (originally sculpted by Cheung Chung Tat)

           * measured along the spine the model is 43 cm long. In 1:35 this would give the animal a length of 15 m (which is unlikely).
If you'd ask me it's more in the 1:30 scale. That would give it an original size of about 13 m.
Here it is next to a human 1:30 scale figure:

Personally I'd be happy to have hi-res versions of your photos available somewhere online. That would be enough, although a coffee table book would be the top to showcase your collection. Maybe it's unlikely to have it mass produced, but if I were you I would just consider putting together a one of a kind copy for your own amusement.

Shonisaurus

Giganotosaurus Vitae looks immense next to other figures such as Safari. From what I see, it only seems to be supported by the pegs. With the figures of Safari on each side it leans to avoid falling.

In any case it is a very good and very well finished figure.  :) Every day I like the dinosaurs of Vitae more. What I see maybe is that the painting is a bit neglected.

Nice mini diorama, ... got that Schleich tortoise since 30 years, loved it as a child :D

Shonisaurus

The diorama reminds me of the chapter in Walking with Beast in which an andrewsarchus attacks a turtle.

That WS Hyaenodon is definitely the one with better detail, among all showed in the picture. It reminds me somehow of the two Southlands Replicas models, style-wise.

The Schleich minis were the first figures I was collecting in my Kindergarden days.
This was in the late 60s and I still have the complete set of 72 figures.

Hehe, I also got them, slumbering in a candy tin box since the quarter of a century.... 72? I never really checked if I got all of them, but I think I at least come close. Each time me and my parents went to one of the bigger stores in the city (which was like two times a year or so) I seeked the "Kaufhof" where they sold these and bought several for like 20 Pfennig (10 cent) each.

Nice Kaiyodos and the base of that anime figure looks really nice :)

Brilliant and funny pictures, the courtship dance is so appropriate for the figure's pose.

The base is from Matt Manit's Iguanodon. The Kaiyodo figures are just being guests.
