Thanks for the photos postsaurischian, the dunkleosteus of Collecta is a majestic acquisition, it is awesome. For me those photos are "to open my mouth". Tomorrow I will pick up the dunkleosteus at the Museum of Natural Sciences of Madrid, together with the iguanodon and mapusaurus Deluxe and the mantellisaurus and sciurumimus.

I count the hours and seconds.

Did you work with perspective on the great Dunkleosteus pictures?

Now you make me want the Dunkleosteus badly! Do you have the Collecta Kronosaurus too, it'd be great to see a comparison pic of the two from you.

What do you mean by "working with perspective"?

;)   Meanwhile I think it's the best Dunkleosteus toy figure available. Here you go:

Shonisaurus

Postsaurischian thank you for your great pictures I have the dickleosteus Collecta Deluxe (I just bought this figure this morning) and I can affirm that it is perhaps one of the best figures of that kind made to date. Although I most certainly like another one from another company that I will not mention.

His fins broken by the fight are formidable is a gorgeus figure.

What dazzles me are your great photographs come out more colorful prehistoric creatures. In fact my dunkleosteus that does not have any defect does not look as bright as the ones you see on the DTF page. I am impressed by the quality of your cameras. They give a dazzling image of those figures.

Thanks post, that's exactly what I had in mind! They look wonderful together, don't know if they are in scale (probably not, considering Collecta's peculiar measurements) but they make a perfect pair of sea monsters. I hope Collecta will keep on producing marine reptiles and other fascinating acquatic creatures in the coming years.

That Mosasaur picture is sooo funny made my day ;D :D

                                                                                  sculpted by Simon Panek

The model is based on the largest specimen of Ankylosaurus ever found - CMN 8880, which is estimated to be 8 - 10 m long.
The figure is 14,5 cm long. Therefore it's in 1:60. Giving Ankylosaurus a total length of 7 m, it is in 1:48, which is how I use it
(until they find a complete skeleton that is bigger). This way it is compatible with a lot of other figures.
Here it is next to a 1:45 (4 cm) human scale figure:

He's a beauty.  Do you plan to keep him unpainted?

Shonisaurus

Even without painting the dinosaurs and prehistoric animals in this case are great, as are Invicta, Marx and many other companies. Shapeways is not the exception, precisely and less the tyrannosaurus and the ankylosaurus.

Although a painted dinosaur comes more life from my honest point of view.

Beautiful pictures! Thanks for featuring it here in your thread :)
Is the T. rex 1:48 then? Seems the Anky really does fit well into this scale.

Helge, do you have any plans on acquiring any of the Beasts of the Mesozoic line? Just wondering :) I recall you mentioning that you didn't care for the articulated jaw trend in toys, do you feel the same about articulated figures?

For the moment yes, but I might change my opinion as I did in many other cases. There are still quite some figures I'd like to send to Martin. At the moment he's having five of my treasures. Being a bit anxious that the British shipping quotes will change when they're finally out of Europe, I'm sending him as much as I can these days.

The T. rex is even in 1:40, but like modern predators Tyrannosaurus probably wasn't going for the biggest an strongest specimen of Ankylosaurus. That might have hurt >:D .
By the way - congratulations for that beautiful model! I like it a lot :) .

As you might have guessed I'm not a huge fan of articulated figures. That's why I got me David's Velociraptor resin model. But I couldn't resist to be part of that BotM crowdfunding action when it still wasn't sure if all this would really be happening.
Unfortunately I'm not able to avoid saying that I'm not happy with how the deliveries have been managed. Years (!) ago I was among the first people to send money and I still ain't seen nothing yet (except for the pictures from people that partly placed their orders just a few weeks ago). And to me the DTF criticisms have been pretty bad so far with all those flaws being mentioned :-\ . I'm not sure now if I'll be happy with what I will get. We'll see.
Yesterday though I got an e-mail saying that my parcel's on the way :) .
I will surely NOT support any future projects. I better wait until it's all finished and have got it made. Paradoxically it's even cheaper this way :P ;) .

Thank you. I must say I had a lot of fun unpacking the BotM package I ordered. I like the different species with their different
shapes and colours a lot and they offer so many possibilities for taking pictures that I almost do not know how to start :-[ ;D .
So I started the very simple way by just showing the raw figure. I'm sure I will have some more interesting ideas in the future.
My only concerns are about the rods and clips. None of them is broken yet but they surely won't be in good condition forever.
Without them it's impossible to get the figures in good position. I might ask David for a handful of substitutes.

The mononykus of Beast of Mesozoic is a great figure, is the first quality toy alvarezsáurido I know. We hope that other companies of big or well-known brands will one day make a figure of that emblematic dinosaur feathered.

Anyway that mononykus is great, the same thing I tell you about the protolindenia of the brand Rebor. My congratulations and thanks for sharing the photos.

Helge, your photos always bring the figures to life beyond anything I could ever aspire too. I would go as far to say your presentation is better than any promotional photos issued by the manufacturers theirselves.

But where on earth do you keep all of these figures? And dusting them must be a nightmare.

Congratulations on the figures too.
