The borealopelta of LoneTrikeStudiose sees very well and with the new paint layer of Martin Garrat as always leaves them potentially improved.

Gothmog the Baryonyx

Wow, that is very impressive. It's a work of art and looks so much like a real animal.

How cool this repainted ankylosaurus from Collecta.

avatar_Doug Watson @Doug Watson Sorry Doug was a lapse of mine, fortunately not the one of Collecta, it's the Safari that was done by you and the best of its kind. I apologize. I would like the current Collecta ankylosaurus to compete not only with the best ankylosaurus on the market that is Safari but with other toy dinosaur companies.

True and true that the ankylosaurus of Collecta belongs to the initial era of Collecta whose figures have their lights and shadows and in this case their shadows. But in no way can compare with your beauty or with other figures such as the Carnegie ankylosaurus and obviously with the Safari 2018 ankylosaurus that the best done to date.
As I said in your day the Safari ankylosaurus done by you, Doug is perhaps the best dinosaur made in 2018 and I think I can not exaggerate maybe I can match the triceratops of Safari also by your hands.

Incidentally, Martin Garrat makes some works of aesthetics in painting in all his exceptional works that ostensibly improve any figure of prehistoric animal and in this case dinosaur regardless of the genius of the painting of my favorite sculptor Doug Watson that would not change it nor in her sculptor and paint touch for nothing in the world.  :)

DinoToyCollector

The color scheme reminds me of the "Ankylosaurus" by Rebor (only a statement, no rating). The figure looks so incredibly lifelike. Good work Mr. avatar_Doug Watson @Doug Watson and great photos from you avatar_postsaurischian @postsaurischian

avatar_postsaurischian @postsaurischian How nice is that Wolly Rhino is by far the best figure of coelodonta antiquitatis that I have ever seen made by a toy company. It surpasses that of the Bullyland brand, it will make a very good couple with her. Thanks for sharing the photographs.

Shonisaurus

It is not bad the anchiornis of PNSO but sincerely I like more the anchiornis of Takara Tomi Arts Dino Expo 2011 is better sculpted and detailed. However the PNSO anchiornis is a small work of art.

Patrx

Thanks for the comparison images! Really looking forward to receiving my PNSO Anchiornis. Perhaps I missed it some pages back, but would you mind saying where that lovely little base/platform with the butterfly came from?

The butterfly is a Safari good luck mini, and the base is custom.

Patrx

Aha! I knew I recognized that butterfly from someplace; thanks!

Gothmog the Baryonyx

That little PNSO Anchiornis looks great, I hope it's easy to get in the UK at some point.

Nice images, and thanks for posting comparison images with the TAKARA TOMY A.R.T.S. figure.

In my opinion, the TAKARA TOMY A.R.T.S figure is better overall, but the levels of sculpting detail are not amongst the reasons why; I'd say the two figures are equally good in that regard. If anything, I prefer the PNSO's sculpt, as something about it (probably that the feathers around the beak are more extensive) feels more like a bird/avialan of Anchiornis' size than the TAKARA TOMY A.R.T.S figure does.

However, from what I can gather, the TAKARA TOMY A.R.T.S figure seems to be more accurate in coloration; the gray feathers are too light (although this could be down to the photo's lighting) and prevelant on the PNSO figure, and I'm pretty sure the fossil evidence points against a cream breast.

This being said, these issues aren't nearly bad enough that I'd rather dish out hundreds on the TAKARA TOMY A.R.T.S figure. They are fixable with a simple touchup, so I still look forward to getting to acquire PNSO's rendition of Anchiornis, along with the other minis on my wishlist.

Looking forward to getting hold of that Rhino and thanks for the comparison images. Scales well with the Mastodon. Managed to get one of those Safari Rhinos a couple of years ago when stock seemed to have emerged from somewhere and was only on sale for about two weeks - my order placed the moment I saw it. One of those collectors' tales.

stargatedalek is right about the butterfly and the base was made by Martin Garratt for a Guanlong he once made for me.

Thank you postaurischian for these photographs. I sincerely have the Kaiyodo ceraptosides thanks to Brett and I can say that they are a small masterpieces of art, the same can be said of the PNSO cerapsids that I will buy when Everythingdinosaur sells them together with the rest of this year's PNSO miniatures. Magnificent acquisition postaurischian I congratulate you.  :)

ceratopsian

As usual, handsome photos. I particularly enjoyed seeing the lineup of Kaiyodos and PNSOs together.

postsaurischian

:)  Thanks! The Spinops has immediately become my favourite PNSO mini ceratopsian.
