Not being rude or anything but I love that your example of a 'proper' ant is a supersized fire ant that transforms into a pyromaniac robot.
"For the colony!!!"

Also, kinda get a little of a Land Before Time vibe from that trailer.
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

"You useless, ungrateful maggot! *I* am the colony!" >:D

I get that they are stylized, but I feel that the photo-realistic backgrounds make them look rather corny.

DinoLord

Yeah the photorealistic backgrounds are a bit offputting, especially since their other films didn't have them.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I'll give it a shot. The look of the dinosaurs kind of reminded me of We're Back : A dinosaur's story. I think this film has potential I've liked just about all Pixar's films so far. Haven't seen Planes and the sequels yet though. Ratatouille was beautiful..as was Finding Nemo..hoping for environments like that.

Arul

Hahaha another dinosaur movie, not bad for fun

 :D Exciting!
I guess we will have to wait until Christmas here in Germany.

Appalachiosaurus

I am fine with the designs as long as they resemble real dinosaurs. Though the raptors will probably just have mowhawks...  >:(

Derek.McManus

I'm sure my son will enjoy it!

IGN wasn't kind enough to label them, but one of these Tyrannosaurs is voiced by Anna Paquin and another is voiced by Sam Elliot.  Pretty sure ol' squinty eyes in the middle is Sam Elliot.  And reasonably sure that the one closest to the Apatosaurus is Anna Paquin.

Not bad designs really.  I like that they gave the Sam Elliot rex a scar that indicates he was bitten by another rex in his early days.

That pic....everyone but the "Apatosaurus" at least tries to look serious...I have yet to see a pic of him where he doesn't look derpy.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

;D oh goody I feel excited to see Disney Pixar the good dinosaurs comes out so only 3 months until in theaters November 25, 2015.that Im a hug fan for my dinosaurs, prehistoric life & extinct animals.

profnik

its looks like a Apatosaurus of movie the land before time, jurassic world & the good dinosaurs http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/81eQO1Xcf-L.jpg

CityRaptor

Seriously? While all three are outdated, both the JW one and the ones in Land before Time look way more realistic than the ones featured in this movie. Heck, even Gertie the Dinosaur looks more realistic.

I'm actually super excited about this movie. It looks precious and adorable. It looks like it's gonna bring on all the feels. Like the kind of movie that everybody in the theater is going to tear up to at least once.

And I may or may not be listening to the song from the trailer right now...

The dinosaurs are looking funny :)) and good enough for a movie. :)

Mojoceratops

I've been trying to follow this film for a while, which comes out November 25th. There's a nice official trailer (no dialogue) on youtube right now which I'll try to share later (on my phone currently). There's also a tv spot (with dialogue) which seems to explain a bit more.

The known characters are of course the Apatosaurus Arlo and the human boy Spot, a Styracosaurus which is labeled on toys as "Shaman", a boxy-looking ankylosaur that is labeled on toys as "Jack", the big tyrannosaur with the bite-mark is Butch, his son Nash (I'm assuming the one with the stumpy face) and his daughter Ramsey (the stream-lined one; the three tyrannosaurs appear to be cattle herders/raise cattle). There is also the Nyctosaurus Thunderclap, who appears to be the main villain, as well as three raptors whose names are currently unknown.

I know the highly caricatured dinosaurs are a bit jarring against the beautiful environment, but it's apparently a style Pixar wanted to go with. The story looks very good though, perhaps even on the emotional side. I picked up a figurine set at the Disney store which looked pretty nice quality-wise, I'll share pics later. Although I'm sure they're on Google, and there is a review of them on Youtube I found.

Dobber

Why an apatosaurus? Then went extinct LONG before the KT event.
