My god.   were/how did you get it?  Now i want one real badly

Found it on eBay by sheer luck. You can see more pics of it's awesomeness in my dio thread : http://www.dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php/topic,475.msg17188.html#new

Did it come pre-painted? What did it cost you? He is very beautiful, and I hope kaiyodo re-releases him.
My living room smells like old plastic dinosaur toys... Better than air freshener!

Simon

Well, if you stand it next to the Kaiyodo Bellowing TRex, or even the Horizon TRex, then you'll see its about the right size, an individual on the larger end I suppose, or ... If you call it a Sauroposeidon, 1/20 scale would be accurate ...

You guys are all crazy, I think the head is the best part.

On the Bellowing Rex re-release ? I honestly think it looks soft on detail and a little too much like a toy.

No it had to be built and painted. I think I paid around 200.00 for this as  kit back in March or May.  I wouldn't mind a re-release..the original will still hold it's value as it will probably be different a bit.

I got that Tyrannosaurus as a kid, and for ages it was my only JP-branded toy. Consequently I love the hell out of it.

Yup, me too. Honestly nostalgia is one of the only reasons to get that ugly little guy or any of the Dakin figures and the principle drive behind me collecting them.

EDIT: Blade, that Brachiosaurus is fantastic. I'm also intrigued by that diorama in the background. Are we going to get to see close up pictures of that?

On the Takashi Oda model, yeah. I like the whole thing, but the coloring and sculpt of the head is what I like most.

A very nice model, and I agree with your assessment.  Did you get it from Clawmark?  Also, more pix please. ;D
Whenever you get the chance.
Thanks, and I did indeed get it from Clawmark. :) It's a limited run of 500, but it seems they've still got some in stock. I did get a few more photos while I had the rented camera. I'll go ahead and post them when I have time, but I'm afraid they didn't turn out as well as I'd like. I miss my own camera, hah.

I'll put up some better shots once I get my own camera back - these all look a bit muddy to me :-\

:P  You're killing me!

Same here! Wow, that is one impressive figure! Super cool, although I don't know where I would put such a thing if I got one ;D

I just like the older better :

I know the teeth the needed updated and all..but the new one still feels too toy-like to me it really misses all that detail in the head of the older one .

Now the later Striding Rex had a perfect head and teeth.so hopefully if it's released it will be unchanged. ;D

Metallisuchus

Those are nice as well. I think they're all good in their own right.

Got a Battat Pachycephalosaurus, how much is it worth?

EmperorDinobot

I have recently acquired some interesting and noteworthy dinosaur items I have yet to report.

My cousin visited and brought me a Papo Styracosaurus. Not bad, perhaps one of their best, second to the Pachyrhinosaurus. So now I have um...4 Papos. The better ones.

I also just bought the...COMMAND COMPOOOOOOOUND!!! HAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAAAAA!!!! It's missing the torches, and one of the guns, BUT IT HAD THE EGGS AND THE INCUBATOR! This is most important, because I plan to make a custom out of it. Not gonna mess with the structure itself, but I'm going to add a "cloning factory" next to it. It also comes with a Snap Jaw raptor (anyone want it? I got 3 and this one won't fit), a Electronic Dilophosaurus (my 5th...ugh), a Cyclops Raptor (I have many...) and a TLW small Triceratops (Once again, I have too many of this mold).

When I'm done with the display (sans the customized part, school is starting again, and I'm getting several degrees within the year if I push myself), pictures will abound.

My master Plan is finally coming to fruition. I finally have everything from JP. Practically everything. Missing some cars, a couple of humans here and there, and several of the recent repaints, but who cares about the Capture Cruiser anyways? Heeeargh!

Oh, I also bought the Capture Copter prior to all this. Not exactly dinosaurs, but it's all related since it's all in a dinosaur collection.

Roselaar

Congrats on the JP stuff, ED! Command Compound = most awesome play set ever.

I can think of quite a few JP fans who would care about the Capture Cruiser though.  ;D

EmperorDinobot

I'm missing all of the S2 vehicles. The Bike, the 4wheeler and the Capture Cruiser. I'll find them eventually, but for now they are low priority. My new highest priority dinosaur items are the Carnegie Diplodocus, Brachiosaurus, Papo Brachiosaurus, and any other Carnegie I might be forgetting. Their time will come. I'm kind of done buying junk for this season. I'm working this guy into selling me his Batcave, so I'm trying not to spend more $ than I should.

Gryphoceratops

Found some used JP figures at the local comic book store for 3 bucks each.  I got a Chasmosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus (movie one season two) and the Gallimimus!

What a score!!!

I just got the new Carnegie Brachiosaurus and the Framemaster 3D puzzle Plesiosaurus w/ Coelocanth. ^-^

Takama

I have been 2 hours away from home today, and i found this at a Wal-Mart

And i found this at a Spencers novolty shop

Gwangi

I can't believe you found that dinosaur at a Wal-Mart, I've never seen particularly good looking dino toys there. Do you know the company?

I like that poster, I've seen it as a t-shirt before.

Takama

Would you beleive that it is the Schliech  World of History Saichania?

It seems that only some Wal-Marts carry Schliech figures. And the one i was at today just so happend to have them. My budget was limeted so i had to settle with one.

I thought it looked like Schliech. Now I'll have to check all the Wal-Marts I come across.
