Got this beautiful pterosaur book  :) Great read and beautiful illustrations, a nice companion to GSP dinosaur book  ;)

Highly recommend it to anyone who like pterosaurs ^-^

:) I agree. It is a great book to have & a very good read overall. An excellent synthesis of the current knowledge of pterosaurs.  I quite enjoyed reading it (finished it less than a week after it was released in late June - in Canada).   :)

FUTABA

Got these on a recent holiday to Dorset.

CollectA Oviraptor, Safari Oviraptor on nest and CollectA Gigantoraptor.

Dinosaur train peeps. I got Mr. Pteranodon too but for some reason he's missing in this picture, must be camera shy.

CollectA Scelidosaurus.

Safari Therizinosaurus and CollectA Therizinosaurus.

Carnegie Diplodocus.

Safari Parasaurolophus.

Knock off of the Papo Allosaurus. It wasn't price tagged so the woman in the shop sold it to me for 99p. Couldn't resist getting it because it makes me laugh.

Mini Safari Brachiosaurus, Tyrannosaurus and 'Brontosaurus'.

CollectA Kelenken and Safari Dodo.

CollectA Hatzegopteryx.

Safari Dunkleosteus and Coelacanth.

Carnegie and Bullyland Icthyosauruseses.

Tyrannosaur that I bought from the Dorset County Museum in Dorchester when I went to see Kevin the Pliosaurus. 8) It's a shame they didn't have any Pliosaur related merch, so I settled for this guy.

This guy has every right to be here, 'kay.

Some little drommy toe claw replicas. (Most likely Velociraptor and Deinonychus). Not sure why I bought two of each...

A Pliosaur T-Shirt (Rhomaleosaurus?) that I bought from the Fossil Workshop in Lyme Regis.

Thanks for looking. I have more pictures from my holiday (Kevin the Pliosaurus and a stunning Cassowary called Deidre) which I will upload soonish. Also some more pictures of some recently aquired budaroos.
I really really like blue things.

Seems Dorset treated you well! We all ought to take holidays there it seems. :)

Wow! He's cool :)!

Good haul you got there Futaba. The Carnegie Diplodocus is my favourite, it's a beautiful model.

Awesome acquistions friend  ^-^.
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

I got some new dinosaurs for the first time in over a year, I've really really been slacking :(

This week I got the Safari Diabloceratops, which is absolutely beautiful! The Carnegie Concavenator which is a lovely sculpt, but the paint job leaves something to be desired...
Also I got the new Favourite Allosaurus and Spinosaurus, and they are gorgeous! Definitely some of the coolest dinos I have. Really happy there.

On the way are the new Kaiyodo Yutyrannus and featherless Tyrannosaurus! I'm so excited!

Awesome ! Nothing like getting to expand the collection a bit to a skip in your step. :)

Roselaar

Just got 50 Yowies in. I'll be busy for a while assembling these tomorrow. :)

Yeah I sort of feel in my element there. I think I'd like to live there when I'm all grown up and stuff.
It seems almost every other town there sells CollectA dinosaurs at least. (Albeit for a slightly higher price than most Ebay sellers but I like the novelty of actually going into a shop and walking out with a little gift for myself. Feels more satisfying in a way).

Yeah he's not bad. I first discovered these Papo knock offs on a thread on here actually. I think Horridus started it (?) That's why it brought a smile to my face when I saw him in the basket outside the shop (just the one there, not sure it was even meant to be there at all). And considering it's a cheapo repro, the quality and detail isn't bad at all (well, considering it's emulating Papo there's no way it could skimp on the detail). His jaw opens way too far though, about a good 90 degrees, but it just adds to the comic value for me. By the way, a short while after buying this Allosaur (or Saurophaganax, for copyright's sake :P) I went into a toy shop and saw a whole basket full of them with differing colour variations and they were being sold for £5.99, so I felt smug for a while after seeing that.

Yeah it really is, and bigger than I assumed it would be too, but size aside, it's such a graceful and elegant model, and has such a presence. It grabbed my attention straight away when I saw it displayed in the shop window and I knew I just had to walk out with one.

By the way, the shop I got the Dippy and a few others from is called Bizley Art Gallery. They sell their own prehistoric and Space themed art as well as figures and I was really impressed with it.

Link to their website for anyone interested.

Also because I spent over £25 in the shop they gave me a free pack of postcards etc with prints of their artwork, which was much appreciated.

Awesome acquistions friend  ^-^.

Thankyou as always for the compliments. :) I just remembered I have a few more items I bought, A geological hammer, The Complete Book of Dinosaurs by Dougal Dixon (which I think I have a few very similar to but it was only 50p at a car boot sale and it's much more current than I thought it was going to be) and a big chocolate fudge ammonite which I have still yet to eat, as well as a little bag of mint chocolate ammonites from the Dorset County Museum. I also got a few little marine reptile fossils which I will post photos of soon. Oh yeah and a few Todd Marshall Paleoart Postcards.
I really really like blue things.

Takama

Hey Futaba, That Popo Knockoff  is actually a Surophaganax.

Sweet! I don't have any Yowies but they look fun. How much were they all?

I actually like the Allo knockoff myself..might trade for one to anyone interested.. :)

EmperorDinobot

I got an S2 Nick Van Owen loose complete. There really aren't a lot of Jurassic Park toys that I am missing anymore, mostly repaints, individual parts missing and unreleased.

Supposedly yeah, just a way to get around the copyright issues probably. But seeing as I don't have any other Saurophaganax, I will accept it as one.

"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

Nebuloid

Wow Dorset treated you real good, guess you had to buy an extra suitcase to take it all home ?

Maybe more like an Allosaurus on steroids. ;)

Now an Allosaurus crossed with the breeding ability of a rabbit though...that's one way to beat out other predators. lol
