Bootleg Rebor already! Looking forward to seeing your new paint scheme!

I hope I can do the mold some justice, Derek. Another interesting thing I noticed is that it doesn't have the standing issues of the original. I thought it did, hence the balanced leg on the phone. It stands up perfectly now on a flat surface, for some reason. No reheating needed.

Derek.McManus

Funny when I saw it posed on the phone my first thought was that the balance problem had been 'pulled' by the remould, interesting to learn that it is fine!

Thanks pako!  :-)

Very nice bootleg pylraster. ... :-)

Can't seem to see your photos, SBell. I don't know why.  :-)

From what I can tell, it's because Google Photos changed into a useless product.

But there are links!

Fear not, they do. Nice bunch!

Thanks to Roger at STS, he used some sort of wizardry and made them postable, in case people don't want to click links!

Three plecos from Epoch (gold dust, albino and red-eye panaque); I actually ended up wtih two gold-dust plecos.

And, the Lepidotes that was included with the Dino Expo 2016 Real Spinosaurus. Didn't get the dinosaur, happy to have the fish!

Schleich Dunkleosteus.

I recently got that Lepidotes also and it definitely doesn't have a socket--did you drill one or is it just balanced on the tip of that acrylic rod?

I just used a bit of modelling wax to create a small hold. The rod (and base) came from a New Ray pronghorn... ;D

I try not to make holes in figures if I can help it!

Check it out! I went for so long without new figures, and now I have more in the same week!

But this time, it's going to seem like almost mythological figures, after 3 years of waiting...

I present--3 FaunaCasts models!

...assuming that I get the photos right...

First off--A full scale Ptilodus! This was first created for a diorama in the museum I ran, for a Paleocene scene. Then, I needed another for our hands-on stuff. That didn't happen, but he did send me one!

1
2

Next, some of his real, actually-available models...

A spotted hyena (told you, Roger!). Again, I am the first to have one of these (not sure how many there would be) but he has posted photos of it before.
1
2

And a real, one-of-a-kind gem, a short-faced bear, Arcotdus simus

1
2

As far as I know, I am the first one to see this finished model, and probably one of the few that will own one!

(Again, I really hope these photos work. I have put two versions of each up--if you can see only one, please tell me if is is the one marked with a 1 or a 2. Then I will have solved the mystery forever! For now...)

:)Bell did you get these from Malcolm?  Was there any other communication?

They are indeed. I think he sat on them for a while (I saw a picure of the hyena over a year ago). I emailed him last week, he said he would be mailing them on the weekend, and it already arrived!

Just one more yuuuuge one to come!

Blade-of-the-Moon

Did you ever get your compy's.  Also I'd like to get a hold of that short-faced bear to go with my other mammals.

I was pretty happy to get that one!

Now I'm just waiting for the Leedsichthys...that will be quite the big challenge! But it sounds like it might happen sooner rather than later (the parcel requires a lot of space!).

As far as I know, Malcolm is trying to clear out all of the orders he has--so that we can all just leave him alone!

Heh, shipping my last orders would give him some space if nothing else, three compy's and shane's 1:15 Torosaurus diorama.. i should room for the latter, been selling off some things.

Did I just got ripped off with fake Bullylands? :( :-[

I was quite happy to acquire tree nice Bully figures, but specially for the Stegosaurus which I like a lot. I bought it from eBay.de and didn't realize that there was another company making the same dinos, with the same paint schemes. Did Bully sell them the rights to do it?

I have when this happens. Now I have tree fake dinosaurs to get rid of. Spent a lot of money to get them to Brazil, import duties and such!  >:(

The dinos obviously have poorer detailing, as if made from old molds or recast. The paint application isn't that bad, but I immediately noticed the lack of texture on the Stego's plates.

EDIT: To make me even angrier the pictures doesn't seem to work!

EDIT 2: I gave up on image tags and left the direct links to the pictures.

Everything_Dinosaur

We suspect you did, Bullyland models say Bullyland underneath, genuine Bullyland including rare models here: Bullyland Models

Hope this helps.

Also they are quite smaller than original Bully....  :-\
( ..or maybe you have very big hands...   ;) )

Lanthanotus

I can't say for your aquired figures, but Bullyland released some of it's figures under the brand name "Arbaton" (for the supermarket chain Aldi I think), like the Tyrannosaurus you showed (in exact the same size, deatil and color scheme). I did not hear of Kindertoyz yet, but given the poor presence of Bullyland in retail shop even here in Germany, it may be that they concentrate on releasing their less popular figures under several more brand names as is common for many products in several industry branches.

Mo_the_Triceratops_King

My rebor collection is now complete.
if i could find finally the motivation to shot some pics for the forums that would be great. ^^
