I've actually seen that lot on Ebay, and was baffled at the amount of figures that was included in that lot.

Am I glad you were so baffled you didn't bid on it.  ;) I stalked the French eBay for two years to find a lot like this. Fortunately the starting price was high enough to deter any competition. Despite the sum, considering the number of figures and their overall condition, it was maybe actually a bargain.

is there a print date on?

Doesn't appear to be. I reckon it's from the mid-Seventies, like the figures themselves.

Also, doesn't the Glyptodon on that poster look an awful lot like the Safari Doedicurus?

Wow, Amazing new additions everyone!
Those starlux figures are awesome, great catch!

Congratulations Roselaar!

That poster is amazing, you must frame it.

Jose S.M.

That's an incredible haul Roselaar! Congrats.

Ceratosaurus

Knew about the issues these two figures had at initial release. Picked them up anyways. Utahraptor looks like it's holding up fine so far. Used the blow dryer/freezer trick on the Ceratosaurus to get it to sit perfect on the stand. Glad I purchased them.

Bought a more or less complete collection of Starlux figures on the French eBay. Wasn't cheap, but saves me from having to track down all of these figures individually. Most of these are in surprisingly good condition. I intend to keep them that way.  ^-^

Got several doubles now. Check them out in my Classifieds thread! :)

That's an impressively huge lot! An instant collection! Are there any that you are missing? It's hard to tell!

Halichoeres

The brachiopod and trilobite are particularly rare, I believe. And that poster is an incredible bonus!

Unfortunately it's only juuuuust incomplete. The alternate versions of the Diplodocus and Mammoth are absent. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the Diplocaulus should come as a pair, right? But I believe it's the same figure twice, so I'm gonna let that one slide.

Found out there's also colour variations to consider. My first Styracosaurus looks a lot different from the one in this lot, as do some of the others to a smaller extent. But I'm not that much into such variations.

Thanks for the compliments, folks! What line should I complete next in one fell swoop?  :))

BlueKrono

That's correct. I got my Diplocauluses (Diplocauli?) as a pair, but they are identical.

Good thing, too. Thanks for that confirmation! ;)

Been a good week for acquisitions around my neck of the woods, with a bumper batch of boxes last night and tonight. About time as some of these were a tad overdue. Parcels can be like buses; nothing for ages then they all come at once! Important thing is they made it!
The newest Favorites turned up last night.

And these beauties were waiting for me tonight. Love that late afternoon sunlight.

sauroid

are those two Triceratops the same size?
"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

PhilSauria

Yes they are, well the same height and length; the Safari is a bit heavier, ie well-fed! I have posted comparison pics over at the 2018 Schleich thread...which I just noticed that you have checked out!

Roselaar

Schleich's new Trike isn't so bad. I like the detail more than on the Safari Trike actually...

Shonisaurus

Although Schleich's triceratops is quite good I like Safari's triceratops by far I see it as a superior figure to that of other brands sincerely speaking.  :)

I second that. Also, the colour scheme is a lot more appealing.

A few odds and ends I've picked up in the last couple months. Nothing super rare, but quite delightful nonetheless.
First, some random swimmers. Suffice to say, I get by with a little help from my friends.  ;)

I've always known of this figure as the TS Toys Liopleurodon, as it's clearly a knockoff of the WWD Lio, but flipping it over it's clearly labeled Kronosaurus! I love it when my quarry yields unexpected surprises.

I also didn't know Dino Z figures had flipping heads. This is my first one.

Speaking of knockoffs, there's this hideous thing:

Then there's this guy, which some of you might recognize as the weird Papo Frankenspino. It reminded me of Todd Marshall's style, so I had to nab it. Quite surprisingly, it has no problem standing on its own.

And who would have guessed that Spinosaurus could have been quadrupedal? Oh. Schleich. 25 years ago.

One of the only other ones worth getting:

An oldie but goodie

A strange three-headed Amargasaurus from Spain

A Brontosaurus made of lava

Warriors

I'm gonna call this an Arizonasaurus.

I've wanted two of these SIMBA Predators for a long time

Some Kabayas

Old Sinclair dinos. I especially like the fin-backed Trachodon. He's going to hang out with my Ouranosauruses.

Weetos, neon and normal

And lastly, a mysterious set of hollow ceramic plesiosaurs from Japan. They have a quirky pangolin texture going on. Any insight into what company they might be would be much appreciated.
