Big price for this WWD Liopleurodon, mint in package:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ULTRA-RARE-BBC-WALKING-WITH-DINOSAURS-LIOPLEURODON-MINT-IN-BOX-/171196861575?pt=UK_Collectables_AnimalCollectables_SM&hash=item27dc20cc87

Someone's bid too, be interesting to see how high this goes.

Looks like they have the whole WWD set on offer at the moment, mint in box. And they ship worldwide too.

What happened to the tusks on this Invicta woolly mammoth?  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-1970s-British-natural-History-Museum-Woolly-Mammoth-Dinosaur-T-Rex-/221342477586?pt=UK_ToysGames_ActionFigures_ActionFigures_JN&hash=item33890a2d12

Ha!

The tusks in the Invicta mammoth actually can come loose: I had one when I was a kid and this happened. So, that must be what happened here. Whoever put them back in didn't know what they were doing!

Sorry for the double post but I just came across this "Dinosaur Model Sculpture - Fibreglass - Original model."

One of a kind? I believe it.  ;D

WALKING WITH DINOSAURS Ornithocheirus!!! Description says "I'm listing this auction to raise interest as I may list shortly" Collection in person only.

Is this for real? Seems to be. No picture yet though.

Simon

Sounds to me like he is trying to generate interest among collectors.  I would bet that he sells it off-line to someone who makes him an "offer he cannot refuse"!

He should just join the forum and post in the classifieds section here, then. ;) The Ebay listing is a bit misleading. What happens if you place a bid?

He did. Twice in the past three years. But I guess he is either just messing with us or he wants a fortune for it. I can say that because when he advertised it in here there were no answers  to any bid/offer made, he made the announcement and disappeared.

Ah, yes, I remember now. I think the lack of photographs raised suspicions of whether it was a genuine offer or not.

Invicta Hunter

I asked him how much and he said he was offered $1000 for it. I dont really think someone would pay that i just think thats what he wants for it. Until he puts a photo of it on the ebay listing i would say he doesnt even have one for sale, just trying to scam some unlucky person.

I thought the same thing too- that it seems like a scam. But he does have 200+ positive feedback, so he doesn't seem like an obvious scammer.

Invicta Hunter

But still even if he is for real $1000 is way over priced. I know its a rare figure but even the Battat mini rex doesnt sell for that kind of money and for a long time that was one of the rarest. I would think £200 too £300 would be a normal sale price.

I guess only a really desperate person with deep pockets would do a $1000 or more on it. It's craziness, really not worth more than $400, $500 tops on a really good (with many bidders) auction on eBay.

Yeah, $1000 is pretty insane for a small toy. You could buy several large-ish resin kits for that money (or maybe that's what I would do...hehe)
