Most unique use of a dinosaur toy ever?

Whoops posted in wrong thread ::)

That's... rather imaginative indeed.  :o Guess I own a lot of toilet paper holders then. :)

That is awesome!!  :) Wish I could go for it myself, but I have neither the dough nor the time to make the trip. Would be great if someone on this site got hold of it. Dr. Admin, are you considering bidding yourself?

No. Although I have connections to the department as it's where I did my undergrad. I remember when I was studying the WWD Ornithocheirus was also lying about in the department!

Wah, they got that for a steal! Guess that's what you get for pickup only. The winner should consider him/herself very lucky!

DinoLord

Eh, that Koolasuchus always gave me the heebie jeebies as a kid...

If you're interested in a Kaiyodo Tyrannosaurus (with the tiger striped paint job), my dad is selling mine for me: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LARGE-PLASTIC-DINOSAUR-JAPAN-KAIYODO-34-CM-HIGH-LIFELIKE-/181663239916?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2a4bf90eec

There's a Panini 1970s dinosaur album for sale:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PANINI-DINOSAURS-COMPLETE-VERY-RARE-1975-/311282210149?pt=UK_Collectables_TradingCards_RL&hash=item4879dd9565

£2,000!!?? Is it really that rare? I used to have this as a kid, admittedly with only about half the cards, but even that would have presumably been worth something if this seller's correct. Does anyone know if this is right, or if the seller's pulling a fast one?

Roselaar

Phew, I'll just stick to my complete 1990 album if you don't mind... Though I gotta say, it's interesting to see the paleoart that didn't make it into the latter release.

Crackington

Yes, I remember that it had nice artwork but it ended up becoming quite a chore getting the cards. I only had one friend who liked dinosaurs (between us we had most of the Auroras and Pyros) but he wasn't bothered with the Panini cards, so I had no one to swap doubles with and then gave up. I have fonder memories of the Brooke Bond PG Tips Prehistoric Animals album, but I had an army of aunties and uncles who helped me to get all the cards.

I don't know, but for a full set, this seems like a pretty good deal to me: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WALKING-WITH-DINOSAURS-3D-GLOW-IN-THE-DARK-SERIES-2-COMPLETE-SET-JOB-LOT-/301579783501?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item46378e4d4d

I've bought from this seller a number of times, very reliable and the prices are very reasonable.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Does anyone recognise the pterosaur in this lot? Or the ?Sauropelta?http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lot-of-10-Plastic-Toy-Dinosaurs-/171735143379?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27fc3653d3

They aren't familiar--not recognizable as Waiphoon or something like that--but that pterosaur doesn't look too bad.
