jooooo

Looks great. I've got a topic about it in the diorama section of the forum. It's named Jonagold2000's diorama.

Last update from this guy for a while, sadly (since I just sold my working computer and am now waiting until I can assemble the new, enhanced one).

I have a question for all those who follow this thread:

If I were to create illustrations with my 3D-models on photorealistic backgrounds (montage), what kind of scenes would you like to see or consider to buy as poster prints? I am considering an idea with the trike (and more of them as a herd in the background). If I am to work on images like that, I want to get interesting, dynamic compositions that feel alive whenever you look at them. Images that I'd love to hang on my own walls as well. So if you guys have ideas or concepts in mind you'd like to see done, please tell me!

Other than that: the components for my new workstation should arrive sometime next week (hopefully sooner rather than later), so I might be able to finally work on the Triceratops and Giraffatitan some more!

I'd be happy with anything that showcased actual plants found in the same settings as the dinosaurs themselves. Something that would give a little sense of the ecology of the place.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

I agree, I intend to put a lot of thought into the actual plantlife displayed. I am currently working on a 1/10 diorama for university that will showcase the animal in question surrounded by plants from the area.

But I was thinking more of overall scenes rather than details (except if the plants make the major part of an image, of course).

Did you mean legs? Or possibly lakes? I'm afraid I can't follow. :D

Oh, I meant the style of mating display that some birds, antelopes, lizards, and insects use!

Aaah, got it! You never stop learning new words, haha. That definitely is a great idea!

After finally getting a new computer up and running, I was able to pose this guy. For now just a regular trotting pose (since the laying-down-one was quite tricky, need to play with that...), I'll make him available on Shapeways asap!

Very cool posture! I might be tempted to buy shapeways again thanks to you ;)

As promised, the Triceratops horridus male is now available in 1/72. I will prepare it for 1/40 soon!

Working on some colors for the Triceratops. I am not yet satisfied with how they are coming along, but I like the facial markings for now. I'll probably change the body quite a bit, though.

amargasaurus cazaui

Oh no !! Dont change it please don't..that is quite...wow I love that. Keep going with it....your onto something there.

I'm glad you like it! By now I hope I'm not going into too much of a similar alley with the newest illustration by Vlad Konstantinov and Andrey Atuchin ( http://swordlord3d.deviantart.com/art/T-rex-vs-Triceratops-563288871 ), I'll have to work a lot on his design. But I do like the head a lot. Maybe I can change the overall colors to a bit of a darker theme, I am not happy with the reddish brown so far.
