I am not sure yet, to be honest. I am up for suggestions! I actually have some unfinished pieces that I could work on/do again (a Carnotaurus, the one with the Styracosaurus herd I posted in the thread, the fishing Spinosaurus...). But I would much rather like to know what people would want to see in a paleo illustration.

Yutyrannus

How about Microraptor? I think that could be cool :).

fabricious

That would definitely be a good challenge for me! I always had troubles with feathers, haha. I'll keep it in mind! :)

Yutyrannus

You could reference pics of blackbirds to get the feathers right (although I too have had difficulty with the leg wings of Microraptor).

I will probably do that! Now you got me interested, haha.

fabricious

More fluffyness for the world: Base colors for the chicks.

Cool, however tyrannosaur chicks usually tend to have long snouts.

Yes, larger eyes as well. All the " baby " features you'd expect.

fabricious

If i make the eyes any bigger than that, they would have larger eyes than the adult. I will have to look at the snouts again!

fabricious

3D-models, anyone? Oh goat, I should be studying...

fabricious

Actually, this is going not too bad in my opinion, compared to past attempts.

fabricious

Should be fairly easy to tell which animal this is. BotM, you should especially like it. ;) And now back to studying...

Blade-of-the-Moon

Me thinks I smell an Allosaurus hereabouts !  lol

fabricious

Yup! Sadly he's still a bit toothless... need to change that soon.

But at least he's got a tongue now.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I'm not sure he needs teeth..with those muscles he could stomp a prey item into mush then drink em' ! lol

fabricious

fabricious

At least SOME teeth so far. Opinions on the scales and wrinkles?

If this turns out neatly, I might change him a little into Saurophaganax (so I don't interfere with the Allosaurus for BotM's park) and put him onto Shapeways. But I might need a lot of help to get that right, haha.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I appreciate that. :)

I think it's looking great so far.  If Saurophaganx is difficult, maybe Epanterias ? I think it's still valid..both are still big ol' allosaurs. lol

fabricious

Oh I meant the process of making it ready for shapeways rather than Saurophaganax itself. :D
