Thanks guys!

QuoteThe Carnegie Carnotaurus pics are my favorites as is one of my favorite models! :)

Mine too, Dinomike. Despite the tripod pose (which isn't all that obvious if you get the right angle), I think this is easily one of the best figures out there. :)

Shot these a few days back. I don't tend to like Schleich dinosaurs at all, but I have to make exception for their Parasaurolophus. In fact it's probably my favourite toy of this species, and in my opinion the most accurate. So I treated her to a trip to the beach!

The rocks on this beach are Carboniferous, and the she's stood on for these shots had some black organic deposites and Stigmaria in it:

There were also some other dinosaurs...!

(Common cormorant Phalacrocorax carbo, herring gull Larus argentatus, curlew Numenius arquata)

Love those coastal shots - and it suits that parasaurolophus. You're right, despite a lot of Schleich silliness, that is easily one of their best figures.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Thanks, Trike83! Given that all the evidence points to it living in an estuarine/floodplain environment, it made sense to me that you might have met a herd of these guys on the beach as well, perhaps eating seaweed like Hebridean sheep do.

Indeed, and I like this paint job better than the 2007 one. I'm planning on getting their Pentaceratops and Kentrosaurus (I'd repaint the Penta, violent red and black dinosaurs just aren't my thing), but I can't say when as my wishlist is ridiculously long. I might possibly get some others if I can think of ways to improve them. That's probably a bit of a far-fetched idea though :P I have a Schleich Spinosaurus and I really don't like it, I'm planning on selling it.

Cryolophosaurus is a little poser! These were taken about a month ago, before there was much foliage to disrupt the illusion of size. Please pretend that the background angiosperms in the second picture are not there!  :))

The lake on my University campus looked very subtropical and swampy, despite it only being around 15 degrees (Celsius) out. All the new growth around there made a perfect background for a photoshoot with a couple of my favourite Dinosaur Park Hadrosaurs. There was also plenty going on on the wildlife front, and I would post some of my pictures of that here too, but I'm insanely paranoid about people stealing them!  :-[

More photography soon!

Thanks! To be honest I really invented the watermark for my art, and added it to my photos because because. It's really up to personal preference.

Long time no dios! Firstly I was saving them up because of the contest, and then I was very busy with my courses and was just too tired to go through the whole Photobucket thing. So I've got a HUGE backlog, so I'll probably do multiple posts. Here's something from back in June - I thought the cornfield looked a bit like a dried up riverbed with forest on either side. Not exactly the right environment for Carnegie's 2015 Velociraptor, but it was what I had with me on that walk.

Carnegie Miragaia photoshoot:

Carnegie Cryolophosaurus - I entered a slightly edited version of the second one for the diorama contest as I hadn't had time to put together anything better. Unsurprisingly it got literally 0% of the votes: only one model and no real story. I'll try and do better next time. ;)

That's all for now folks! I'll get more up later. :)

These are part of a shoot with the Carnegie Velociraptor at a local beach which has lovely Carboniferous sandstone (and fossils!) and seemed an appropriately desert like background. Unfortunately, what with the all the rock scrambling involved, it was very hard to get into a good position and the light wasn't ideal, so these three were the only really good ones.

I am completely sure that you will be one of the winners of a photography competition of dinosaur dioramas or any other kind of photography (for example, real animals). I congratulate you, you are a feat.

Aww, thank you all so much! You're way too nice! :-[

I'm sorry I only just saw your comments all these months later. To tell you the truth I've had a bit of a hectic year and problems with my health, so I haven't really had much of a chance to do much with my models or update on here or Flickr. I've got some of my enthusiasm back now, tho, so I'm hopefully going to get back into the swing of things. ;)

Today my area got gorgeous spring sunshine (although it's still pretty chilly out!), so I took the opportunity to snap some of my models in the garden.  One of the plants in this area of bed makes a really good mini cycad when it's just sprouting! ;)  There's a lot of the Eofauna Gig, but I was just so pleased with how I'd nailed the illusaion of size.  Also, I've realised I'm becoming a Nodosaur fan.  This is would not be a problem, except that at the moment I'm actually trying to downsize my collection, not throw all my cash on the bonfire...!
