It is time! Voting for the Dinosaur Toy Forum Diorama Contest 2014, sponsored by Everything Dinosaur, is now open!

Firstly, many thanks to each and every one of the participants, you've made this the biggest contest yet - 59 dioramas in total! Thanks also to everyone who takes the time to vote! And thanks to our very kind sponsor, Everything Dinosaur.

The poll will run for 30 days and you can vote for your top eight [8] entries. This is more than previous contests because there are so many more dioramas to choose from. The entries will remain anonymous throughout the voting process, so please don't give the game away: no hints, clues, or discussion about who each diorama might belong to. Also, please don't discuss which dioramas you voted for until after the poll closes. Otherwise, discussion of the entries in general is more than welcome!

You can vote for yourself, it isn't against the rules, but that wouldn't be very sporting now, would it?  :P The forum rules and details of how the prizes will be allocated are here: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=2227.0

Take your time when voting - once you have selected your eight favourite dioramas, they can't be changed later.

So, let's get down to it, the 'dinoramas' are as follows (I've created reduced thumbnails to speed up page load time. Click the images to see a larger versions - these will open in a new window).

Yes! It is probably worth holding back from voting for a day or two to give the entries the time they deserve and really think this one through...

Few of the entries seem like they are sized wrong and not fitting my screen....might verify at least some of the first ones listed
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

DinoToyForum

Note that you can vote for your top 8 dioramas. The results so far indicate that some voters are checking fewer than 8 options. That's their prerogative, if intentional, but why not vote for your top 8 if you can? It might just make a difference. ;)

I resized all the images to a maximum of 1000px wide (for landscape images) and 1000px tall (for portrait images). All the thumbnails are resized to 200px wide. Does this answer your concerns?

I understand what you are stating, but it isnt shwing that way for a few of them, I will verfy again, but there was at least one that is not 1000 according to the graphics viewer I use.

Well, one winner is clear. The running green T-Rex of Papo! This guy is the the hero in the most entries. Followed by the mooing Styraco - also made by Papo. But looking in the different scenes  they made always a good figure.

Yes, I noticed that when I was sorting the dioramas. She makes an appearance in six dioramas, I think?

59 entries received, 59 in the poll. Nope, I don't see any new Battats amongst them - a bit of a surprise.

darylj

Such a strong year!!  I must remember to enter next year...

Aram-Rex

The Papo Tyrannosaur makes every diorama look good. #Fact

Hynerpeton

So hard to vote. But I did it! :) again good luck everyone. :)
Walking With Monsers:
[about Lystrosaurus] Astonishingly, their vast herds make up more than half of all life on Earth. Never again will a single species do so well.

Walking With Monsters: (Hynerpeton) To avoid injury the males demonstrate their strength  in a strange  push up contest.

Takama

I cant help but notice the number of Obscure figurines in this years entries
