Hi everyone!

I can't believe it was only recently I stumbled across this  place! I've been keenly interested specifically in dino art and models since summer last year, but have been a dino enthusiast in general since before I can remember!

I'm from  Devon and very near south west England's Jurassic coast, so I used to go fossil hunting as a kit and dinosaurs always inspired me - I'm now studying animation and vfx at university and am very into palioart so I will eventually get round to posting some of that in the art forum...I also plan to get into model repainting.

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know everyone and learning from you all!

Welcome to the forum! I'm jealous of your location; I've always loved collecting the various British ammonite fossils. I and many others here would be glad to look at your work and provide feedback. Between all the members here there is a lot of knowledge on prehistoric animal anatomy.

Welcome to the forum  :) I also come from the UK.

Welcome to the DTF! I look forward to seeing your artwork :)

I've also done my fair share of fossil collecting on the Jurassic coast. 8)

Hello from the Cretaceous inland sea!
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

Welcome! Is it the same coast where Mary Anning found all that great fossils?!

Tallin

Yes it is! We're lucky as you can walk to the beach and find ammonites and belamites fossils just dotted along the shore...

How abundant are they? Is it, like, you go for a walk each Sunday and bring an ammonite home?

Tallin

Yeah pretty much if you've got good observation skills and patience!

It's always cool to live near a paleontological "hot spot".  8)
