Diplocaulus is my favorite amphibian along with cacops and mastodonsaurus. It is a pity that he is not well represented in the toy market. At least among the resin figures is a figure optimally represented with that great sculpture. I congratulate you Robin for your new acquisitions.

Thanks for your links to your collections.

The colour scheme for Dunkleosteus is both unusual and extremely successful.  Not the first colours I would have thought of but they combine well to make an eye-catching figure.  As for the Diplocaulus slab - quite sublime.  I feel I can almost see them wriggle around.  Do you plan to hang it on a wall or display it flat?

About Dunkleosteus, Mr. Garratt painted the figure directly for Urzeitshop (I didn't choose the colors).
I saw a similar color scheme into postsaurischian collection, on his Sean Cooper's Dunk (painted by Martin too).
And I always liked it.

The best scheme I've ever seen for Paleocraft Dunk is like this:

About Diplocaulus, I'm planning on building a big transparent box to display it flat (as I did with another huge figure: the Kaiyodo Megasofubi 1:35 Blue Whale).

Thanks for the photos and for sharing Robin. The dinosaur book of the British Museum of Natural History also has it and sincerely I realized perfectly that some illustrations are based on dinosaurs of the legendary Invicta series.

The Chap Mei mammoth is even better than the Recur brand. And it's huge. Thanks for sharing Robin.

Wonderfull illustrated paleobooks, thank you for sharing those images.  :))

That Chap Mei Mammoth is a new one on me - it's amazing! That company puts out some really over-the-top figures, sort of the plastic version of Luis Rey's illos. I bet even if you could find one of those it would cost a month's wages.

It was a cheap toy some years ago.
Now it's not so easy to find and scalpers are smart on Ebay..  :-\

(Same as Chap Mei Liopleurodon  ::) )

The same figures (with different colors) was also used for a fantasy set called "Vikings:

I opened a thread to find that book (I dinosauri),
a book i had when i was a child, so i was so happy when i bought it a couples of weeks ago.
Smelling again those pages, that glue... oh, it really moved me :)

I didn't know the other book, but i love those drawings.

(Your collection, ça va sans dire, is top notch)

By the way Robin. On the internet it has not been clear to me, is the Chap Mei mammoth PVC or is it vinyl? I say it for the size.

Sorry Robin for having repeated me in the questions about the mammoth of Chap Mei as I see you had already answered me in another occasion.

It seems incredible that I have the memory of a cricket.  :-[
