Do any of the species Csotonyi illustrated for the film's website appear in the actual film?
The Paras and the Pachys do show up, but they are not coloured or built similarly to Csotonyi's art at all. Just the same dull mush colouration as every other dinosaur in the film.

NO None of them were in it. Not Even the Parasaurolophus he did, and that creature appears in the film as a Generic as ever.  Though there is a Security Camera scene Featuring a Sedated Pachycephalasaurus, but I could not tell if it was based on the Painting he did

I know that at least some Pteranodons cause a helicopter to crash down through the aviary roof and explode when it hits the ground behind the Indominus rex from the trailers, but do the Dimorphodons cause any fatalities as well? :)

Well Owen Dukes it out with one, when the Pterosaurs Attack the park.
Since Owen is the main star,I'm guessing that particular Dimorphodon didn't get to eat him at least. ;D
Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

Saw it yesterday, why is it in 3D ? As soon as anything moves it's blurry and I cant focus...
I even watched whole parts without the 3D glasses, much more enjoyable !
There were way too many scenes with the I.Rex just growling at the camera, not scary at all after a while.
And every dinosaur looks like a grey bag of blubber... Story wasn't great, and the kids weren't really needed for the movie. Just Owen and Claire would've been enough, maybe the younger brother as well.
Sorry for being overly negative, I'm hoping for a more intimate/slower film in the future, with more beauty and grace than this one.

OK, Just got home from the Theaters(15 minute drive in a Thunderstorm no less) And i have to say, despite the lack of Up to date accuracy, the movie was great.    Yes the Dinosaurs are still stuck in the 20th century, but they still felt like Dinosaur to me, even the Raptors.   One thing i liked is the fact that they acknowledge the fact that the I.Rex was not a real Dinosaur (Something im sure a lot of us wish they would admit that about almost every animal in the movie). The Camouflage of the animal was believable, and not like it can turn completely invisible like a super power.  Also, the Dilophosaurus Does appear in the movie as Hollow Graphic that used to show the tourists.

TheEnding was a Spectacular in my opinion, though i would have enjoyed it more IF FRIGGEN FACBOOK DID NOT SPOIL IT FOR ME :'(

Long Story short (This is the Spoilers thread, so if you dont want to know, then leave it now)  The I.Rex gets Eaten by the Mosasaurus.  How that happens, i will leave for you the others to Spoil

*HAH*!!!!! I KNEW IT!  The first time I saw the clip of the Mosasaurus chomping on that shark, I thought to myself "I'll bet that the new dino gets eaten by this guy at the end."

Of course, this is not new either - WWD did it first!! (Liopleurodon vs. Eustreptospondylus)

I guess its just that every time a new "superpredator" appeared in the JP series, it wound up chomping on the old "bad guy"......

The little boy even holds in his hands the night sight Timmy once wore.

Why did they do this, in the context of the film?

It didn´t have any purpose except for nostalgia. Maybe they put in these flashbacks as a nod to the original movie, maybe they did it because they regarded  their own one as too weak to stand for itself?

We intentionally saw it in simple 2D for this reason, but the effects were difficult to follow anyway. Apart from that it sounds like you and I saw exactly the same film! The wall street journal ends its review as follows, which made me titter. "The film is being shown in both 2-D and 3-D flavors. I saw the 2-D version, so I may have missed something, but I'd say the ideal number of dimensions in which to see "Jurassic World" is none"

I wached a lot of trailers, TV spots, and clips. In retrospect, I probably saw snippets from about 70% of the movie scenes, the trailers reveal a hell of a lot. The trailers also reveal every species that appears in the movie (except the hologram Dilophosaurus, which doesn't count, a single frame of an injured Pachycephalosaurus viewed through a cctv camera, which doesn't count, and a crow, which doesn't count). Specifically, with the exception of the everything-but-the-kitchen-sink finale, I can't think of a single dinosaur scene that wasnt already reveled in a trailer. So, anyone hoping to see the other animals listed on the JW website, temper those expectations.

Other than T-rex, Velociraptors and I-rex, how anatomically accurate are most of the dinosaurs depicted in this movie? how about compared to the last three films?

They're pretty similar (though a little more blobby than in the previous two but that's just a CG nitpick). The parasaurolophus are nearly spot-on. I think some of the stegosaurs are male since they have markings on their plates which remind me of the papo stegosaurus. The ankylosaurs don't look as close to the ones in JP/// as I thought they would. Rexy was nearly the same as she was before, except she has a longer snout and is more gray which aren't a big deal since it could be a result of aging. The raptors also look a little bulky, but then they're being fed a lot. Pteranodons are the worst offenders, though, since they look nothing like the ones in TLW and JP///. As for anatomical accuracy, there's no more accuracy than in the first three films.

Thank you, I appreciate it.

Guys. I have just made a new word to describe this movie. Awesomazingdary!!! Aside from the obvious anatomical and scientific inaccuracies, this move blew my mind! I just loved all the JP 1 references, and the entrance of Rexy was awesome-you can just barely see her eyes and snout through the shadows... it was just awesome!!  ;D
like a bantha!

alexeratops

Only nitpick though, the Stegoceratops didn't even make an appearance! It has its own toy, but most younger kids who buy it wouldn't have even seen its cameo... shame. :P

CityRaptor

Actually I've read in jptoys' forum that it has a cameo, but only one a computer screen.

Dinosaurs that were not in the movie getting toys has been a thing since the original Jurassic Park.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Takama

Im glad the Stegoceratops did not make a in the flesh appearance in the movie.  That would of Ruined it for me.

However, i fear that it might be In for the Sequel.

Did anybody else feel that the slow motion bits felt inappropriate for a Jurassic Park movie?

A little Repetitive to be Honest.
Maybe if you liet the I.Rex take a few steps before it restarts

We've known they weren't going to be in the movie for a long time. The designs Csotonyi made were purely for the site.

I felt that the mosasaur was a little overused, but at the same time I felt it helped to keep the rex fanservice in check.

So your saying some of Dino's that they're plan to be in the movie are not made by amblin because some of them where made this guy named csotonyi
