Could anyone whose trees are leaning post pictures of what they currently look like?

ceratopsian

Here you are:

Just a quick snap with the newly arrived CollectA Deluxe Iguanodon "camping" in the forest.  I think the lean on the tree has increased since I put it together on Wednesday.

Thanks ceratopsian :)

If it leans that far, I'm beginning to reconsider buying it. Also, wow, it's big  :o

ceratopsian

If the tree is held upright, I make the height of it on the base to be around 26 cm.  The widest part of the base is around 18 cm.  So tall, yes.  But overall the base doesn't take up a huge amount of space.  I've now tried leaning the tree to the rear - but that makes the thing quite top heavy.  I wonder if the base might flip backwards.....

Finally got one! Was kicking myself for missing it when it was on sale originally

Well... my order was dispatched on Thursday, and even with apparently a fair bit of to-ing and fro-ing around services in the USA it made it to Heathrow within 24 hours, and was dispatched from there by 6:42 yesterday morning. And then...nada. I was so hoping the efficiency would continue and it would arrive today when we're in, but nope..! Not a single notification other than "in transit to destination" since then. D'oh!! At least I know they're so very close now ;D

avatar_Minmiminime @Minmiminime I haven't got an email but I really hope my raptors are making the same progress as yours! I'm literally just 20 minutes away from Heathrow, I hope this means I'll get mine soon ;-;

Minmiminime

avatar_IrritatorRaji @IrritatorRaji I really hope so!! I wonder how many shipments are being made to the UK? It speaks volumes that it's all run very smoothly up til this point..! My other half reckons the UK courier may be of the variety that doesn't operate at weekends. I didn't think such a thing still existed! Very quaint if that is the case, but desperately annoying to an avid collector who's been waiting two years for her order!!! At least it hasn't been held up in customs :o ;D

Fingers crossed it's doesn't get held up in customs! I don't wanna cough up £100 just cuz border control don't wanna give me my package I've not seen many UK people post and talk about their raptors, but seeing as EverythingDinosaur is openly advertising and selling them I'm assuming that there's a healthy stream of figures making their way into the UK

Minmiminime

avatar_IrritatorRaji @IrritatorRaji I know, it's typical, it would have been quicker to order them from ED!! Also, congrats on your Blue 'raptor variant ^-^

Yeah, ordering them so early is a big regret of mine, I could have saved masses in shipping fees But, at the very least, one good thing did come of me ordering early. I was able to snag a red Osmolskae.

And thanks :D

Moodyraptor

I'm in the UK, and I made two separate orders, each for three raptors.  I got a shipping notification for one order on Friday, no notification for the other yet.

I have however received my Balaur from Everything Dinosaur  ;D

ED told via email me they'll be getting the Build-a-raptor sets in soon.

A bit later then I planned for, but better late then never. I'll have pics of the individual scenes in my collection thread, but here's a preview of what I worked on today and yesterday:

Okay, so the tree issue is not just me!  I wonder if shaving a bit off the base of the tree would help, maybe even gluing it to the opposite side.

avatar_LeapingLaelaps @LeapingLaelaps Great display!  It's like each one has its own shadowbox.  :)

The final bit of my order arrived today: Adasaurus and Fan's Choice Saurornitholestes.

No major issues with either.  In fact I'm pleasantly surprised how well their complex paint schemes turned out.  One of the Sauro's wings has a little more green wash than the other and the Ada has a random light stripe on the inside of one of its shins, but that's about it.  Oh, and neither of their mouths will quite close completely (both are "grinning") but that should be fixable with hot water.  There was, however, one major issue with the Sauro's accessories: the posing rod was missing its cap, so there's no way to attach either of the braces!  It doesn't look broken off, it's just not there!  Thankfully I was able to use one of the shorter posing rods for the Accessory Kit raptors and lengthen it with a few of the elbow pieces for the jumping rod.

Tylosaurus

Nice Raptors there everyone as the toes go, if they keep popping off you can always decide to super glue them to their proper position, should be doable.

Fembrogon

They're here, they're HERE, THEY'RE FINALLY HERE!!!

These arrived today while I was at work. There are still two more on their way tomorrow!
I was excited beyond belief to unpack these. I'll share more photos as I open each of them and get the feel of their joints.
BUT THEY'RE HERE AT LAST! It's been nearly two years in the making, but the beasts have arrived!!

Minmiminime

Congratulations, avatar_Fembrogon @Fembrogon  ;D I'm so jealous, mine are stuck in customs :o I'm hoping they'll email me quickly so I can get them out!!

Just a question for all the people who've received their raptors, were you all KS backers and/or did you have to complete a survey?

I remember reading somewhere that KS backers had priority over shipping (and rightfully so) but in the months leading up to the Backerkit store closing I saw Silva talk time and time again about buyers who hadn't completed a survey? Were all who purchased the preorders required to take part in this survey?
