I am glad to hear this :) I really do hope we will be able to reach our console goal, although it still may come to fruition through time. At the worst, I think, we will be able to do a virtual copy through the Sony & Microsoft Market place

I got a Wii U on day one, and I haven't regretted it since. I love it a lot, and watch a ton of Netflix on it lol

Hopefully, I will be able to get to talk with more experience Unreal developers about doing something to get a Wii U version available (I mean, come on, they allow for Android and Iphone development)

If I am somehow unable to get a Wii U version available, I will work inside of another engine (Probably Unity 5) to bring an exclusive to the Wii U.

The more you know :P I suppose in the way it walks.

Thank you guys for the support! Our team really appreciates it, and I love answering questions so feel free to ask any and all

Since you have multiple versions of spinosaurus will you have multiple versions of every dinosaur? Or just the mainstream pop-culture ones? Or just the ones with somewhat subjective science? (To that end a feathered Tyrannosaurus version would be cool).

Can you share any gameplay concepts with us? Perhaps even some environments?

I see a LOT of amazing skill and potential here with this project. I'd hate to see all this amazing work end up like The Stomping Lands, and developer interaction (across multiple sites at that!) is a great sign that your entire team is really committed to this project!

Definitely! Here are some in-game shots :)

We unfortunately don't have a concept artist, at least for now.

Our friend C-Compiler(http://c-compiler.deviantart.com/)  however, does draw for us. And here is one of her pieces showcasing a Spinosaurus devouring on a sandy shore

And we have thought about doing a feathered T.Rex so it is possible. And as of now, it seems we will only do multiple versions of mainstream dinosaurs. However, most dinosaurs if not all, will have a second skin variation or more.

And don't think we will give up any time soon. I've been solo on this project when it started in 2013, Manuel joined in the summer of 2014 and the game has really improve drastically since then :) We even gained a few more members, Joe and Jered are our Sound designers and they are incredible at what they do :) Jered and Joe also do many other things on the project, just like Manuel and me.

SpittersForEver

This seems cool, but after the ark and the stomping lands i'm skeptical. The models look great, hopefully this will be released for PS3 OR Xbox 360? Not just the newer consoles. One question though, will the dinosaurs interact with each other? For example herding, predator/prey relationship, pack hunting or things like dinosaurs nesting are more aggresive? And what about the size of the dinosaurs? As in juveniles and adults? Any help would be appreciated as I don't have facebook to ask them (cause I'm 12  :P )

All of those look amazing! I love that shot of the stegosaurus!

Last gen is a stretch, but I would have to talk to some people about how to get it on there if it was possible :) But thank you! And we will do our best to have the animals interact with each other, pack hunting, herding, etc

Quote from: FBTH on August 10, 2015, 09:17:19 PMAnd lastly, since we are doing crowdfunding, one of our goals is to bring it to console (at least as of now). I had originally hoped to bring it to the Wii U with Unity 5, but since the switch to another engine that lacks support for the Wii U. The Wii U version will either receive a different exclusive game, or an exclusive spin-off or sequel (if we are lucky with the reviews of the first game).

I'd really love for this to be on Wii U - it's the only console I own. Since the only Wii U games featuring dinosaurs that aren't Yoshi are LEGO Jurassic World and My Jurassic Farm, I'd love a change of pace, and these dinosaurs look fantastic.
I mean no offense when I say it's kind of hard to trust a Kickstarter promising Wii U support. How motivated are you to get a game (or something like it) on the system?

The dreaded Project Cars ;-; And I honestly don't think we will be able to get this version of WOGD onto the Wii U, but it is also the only Next-Gen console I own. I love the Wii U with a passion, and I strongly hope to work on future projects solely for Nintendo, but I do need to get noticed first. I think I would bring the original idea of WOGD to the Wii U, being a game inspired by Carnivores (The original one) I think that way, people will still have an enjoyable game to play :)

As long as I can see these models on my Wii U I'll be happy, no matter what the playstyle is. While I can't say I'll pledge money to the Kickstarter, I would get it as a Day 1 eShop purchase.
It's nothing personal, I just don't give money to Kickstarters on principle, even if I have absolute faith in the product. I did this with the PaleoPlushies Velociraptor - I bought one the first day it was available online.
I'll be happy to help spread the word though, I have no qualms with that.

We would mainly use the funds to help us make the experience even more immersive, although there are some exclusive pledge rewards I have ideas for; but I don't want the team to get caught up in fulfilling a bunch of different reward tiers when we could be working on the game. I think a Wii U version may use different skins and such, to make it more fresh and such. Other than that, the models will more than likely stay the same :)

These are all really quite beautiful. Congrats! I'm not a gamer and I'm only on Macs. But down the road if or when you might come out with a figure line of these (preferably at 1:40 scale ;D), I would very much be interested! :)

You hunt the dinosaurs, at least for now. We want to really focus on the main game first, and then possibly come out with future modes :)

The "hunting the dinosaurs" theme is the only thing that's keeping this from being a "buy" for me.  Nothing against you guys, but I'm soooo tired of games that make me hunt and kill these animals.  That's one of the things that attracted me, for better or worse, to Primal Carnage.  The ability to play AS the dinosaurs and get revenge on these gun-toting humans. >:D
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

Well, there will be an observer mode. This mode will allow you to interact with the animals without being killed, while the animals may not interact with you :P

Anywho, this seems to come up often, the "I want to play as a dinosaur" thing. Although it shouldn't be too hard to do, and it is fairly fun to play as one. Executing a reason to play as one and the controls when playing as one needs to come across nicely. As we do want to get the core game done as soon as possible, and release a demo for that. We do plan to support this game even after release :) So it is possible that you may be able to play as a dinosaur, it only needs to be justified.

Nice to hear that you'll support the game after launch.  I hope that you're able to get a console release.  That's one of the things that has bugged me about the aforementioned Primal Carnage.  Back in the days of the first release they were talking about putting it on consoles and it never happened.  I'm not sure I believe that Primal Carnage Extinction will really come out on PS4.

As for justifying playing as a dinosaur...isn't the awesome factor of being a T. rex or a Stegosaurus justification enough? ;)
