Awesome work blade! Cant wait to see the new Dippy and underwater exhibit!

The Dippy was put on hold and an Apatosaurus was decided on instead. There will be a Diplodocus eventually..and I'm hoping to have it in a rearing up pose...so 20' ?

The marine exhibit I'll work on at the same time as the Apato so we'll see which get's done first.. lol

Heres an idea

Make two Dippys, and have one mount the other.     Or make you dippy curios and have it mount your new Apatosaurus   that way you wont have to worry about a giant tree going through its chest

I do believe your forgetting we're a family oriented attraction...   The one we make standing will hold itself up as the tail will be on the ground and anchored as well as the feet. 

The only dinosaur I've had to make a tree support for was the T-Rex and it's nowhere as obvious as you might think. No one even notices it now it's done.

Yep some old fashioned puppetry work...of course the entire piece is a handful..is wasn't all put on I assure you!

Would it be possible to use an air compressor and hydraulics to make one of your velociraptors suddenly lunge at people unexpectedly.
I think that could be a great effect.

I've considered it, but I'm not an expect in mechanical motors...even less so in pneumatics unfortunalty.

I also have to consider just how much movement I can do..I have kids that come through here that are afraid of the Velociraptor Enclosure already..if something jumped at them they would probably wet themselves and I would have upset parents.

It would be a neat idea for our Dino Park in the Dark though. I could buy a pre-made rig from haunt sites but the cost would be high.

About half that, close to a 1000.00 with air tank and fittings. Not including sound.

Thanks bud, we've almost got the front legs framed, then comes the fun part of attaching them together.

I'll have an updated pic of the head tonight showing where I'm going with the teeth..they might be too big or too small..I haven't decided as of yet. lol

How long is your head?  I believe it should be about 26 inches.
