Yeah Park Security there has seen it all and done it all..not even the T-Rex makes her flinch.

"Park Security" that made me laugh out loud.
Every time I see a toy dog I think of this Far Side cartoon I have pinned up in my shop.

How does such a BIG guy who makes such BIG things end up with such a TINY dog?
I love all dogs but when I am in a house with a toy dog I am so paranoid I will step on it and kill it. I was in the house of a breeder of Miniature Pinschers once to get reference photos and I swear there were 20 of them squirming around my feet I couldn't move. I am a Bullmastiff guy myself.

By the wee, the nothronychus looks great will you feather the body as well?

Blade-of-the-Moon

lol It's funny, I always considered myself a big dog person, I used to have Huskies, Wolf-Dogs, ect..all 80-100lbs.  Then this little girl fell into my lap and I have to say I still love big dogs but these little ones are cool too. I mean they have an attitude so much bigger than their size.  It's like they can do anything an attitude I appreciate..always rooting for the underdog.. lol It's also nice to not come home to a totally wrecked house all the time..;)

Yeah I'm thinking of going with the feather stencil again for most of the body.  This un-heated vinyl just loses paint paint like crazy. A fully vinyl feathered one like the Struthio needs painting 4 times a year.

Thanks bud!  Why did I read that quote in a Ricky Ricardo voice..? hmm. lol

I love the wing pose myself..one of my friends made this observation :

" looks like he's saying "Yo dawg, back up! You wanna go a round!? Step up!"

;D Lol pretty much!

All they need now is some "Bling"... a nice gold chain or two? Haha! BTW, they do look great together out there in the wild!

lol I'll see what I can do.

I'm very happy with the results so far!

We ended up gettign on tv again, here is a copy of the article :

Great coverage for you I'm sure, But WOW, the enthusiasm of that reporter! It is just astonishing! (I am pretty sure they could have acted a bit more like your park means something XD)

Yeah the girl that came out and actually did the interview was really excited. She was here for 2 hours..lol I've found reporters are like that..you have the ones in the field that love covering the news and then the ones that actually report it who generally read it pretty dry.  She did tell me that one of the other desk reporters thought it was cool and would bring his daughter to it soon.

Yep, I'm also paranoid that I'd step on a toy dog, but strangely I don't feel the same about cats and rabbits, both of which I had as a kid. Maybe it's because dogs are naturally big animals and the 'downsizing' makes some small breeds quite fragile. I do prefer big dogs, but I'd never cope with the energy in something like a husky or a lab. For me it's rough collies all the way. ;) Having said which, when it boils down to it I love all dogs. They're amazing animals. Got to agree with you on the little ones' attitude - Small Dog Syndrome is like Small Man Syndrome. My collie was once chased down the beach by a pair of tiny teacup chihuahuas!  :)) For the rest of the walk people kept on coming up to me like, "Your dog has just given me the best laugh I've had in a while!"

lol I like em' all myself.  I find different breeds seem to attract people at different stages of life. The younger you are the more energetic, by the time your like my grandfather, you want a calmer animal to just hang around and sit with you.

Here's a Raptor head I did for the local premier of JW :

It's a bit rough but it was kinda short notice..lol  I actually pulled this one from storage as it was worse for wear and tweaked it.

Same here bud, I'd had a bit of an "older" personality for awhile..the odd thing is I still like a lot of kid stuff. lol

We did get the Nothronychus moved out into the Park yesterday, I tried painting him today was rained out mid-work.  I'm not sure I'll get to use the stencil on him for feathers after all..it's a bit higher up on a ladder than I'm comfortable with at the angle the ground is. :/

Yup, that's pretty much me. A youngish old person with the brain of a ten-year-old lol!  :))

Good luck with painting the Nothro. :)

Thank you!

Her coloration is mostly inspired by the ones in the Chris Reeve dino doc. lol :)

Thanks! The head was part of a trade deal with a friend of mine who also makes dinosaurs South of the border. He based it on the latest findings which give Deinonychus a bit different head shape than we are used to.

Trying to work on him, the Quetz ( should have eyes in Fri) , and Dimetrodon while designing a new attraction, "Danger Zone" for our Dino Park in the Dark event next month..whew!

The Edmontosaurus has some nice camouflage colouring. It turned out really well. Of all your recent endeavours, I like the Oviraptors the best. They look very natural and alive.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Meso-Cenozoic

Yep, I also think the Edmonto and its coloring turned nice too! Also nice job on Blue, especially for such quick notice. I hope they compensated you for that.
