As mentioned before, our Apatosaurus is gracing the pages of PT , I'm really honored to be in my favorite magazine and to among so many top artists!

Congrats Buddy! I was happy to see your work while flipping through my latest issue of PT.

Lookin' good Blade!  And I never realized those Collecta Deluxe Trex and Trike were THAT BIG!!!

Thanks!  ;D

I think they around 1:15 ? They said if I couldn't bring any big dinos bring some small ones..I figured a good middle ground was big for toys and small for life size... lol

Thanks bud! I hope to make it into the next couple issues too..it just so happens we have those dinos as well..lol

It was fun getting to interact and talk with our fans, mostly kids but some adults too.  I wish we could do more of these events!

Right where dino info should be.... Front and Center! ;)  A "Back to School Expo" sounds like it was a great place to have a table for your park. Did you get a decent amount of people stopping by?

It was cool, there a LOT of vendors this time. We had a few people, maybe 50-60 that stopped by. We also were able to network and talk with other local businesses.  Compared to the Paleo-rific event held at the same place a few weeks earlier this one was a breeze. That one was circus/warzone..lol   I did get to speak with the really nice lady who is in charge of events there about doing another dino-related one maybe in Winter?

Mamasaurus

Goodness! What's really amazing about parks like yours Blade is that it helps one understand how big these animals are.  Looking forward to seeing more progress on a childhood favorite  :)

I know right? I'm honestly surprised every time we build one like this. I read the books and see the measurements, but it's nothing compared to standing toe to toe with one.  Most of the time even the animatronic displays we see the creatures are scaled down. I recall my first big Stegosaurus, a Dinamation one, was around 16'. This girl is MUCH bigger at 28', though at the extreme end for a Stegosaurus it's still plausible. When done she'll be around 13' tall at the highest point. :)

Yay, Stego's on his way!

I think you're fine with 28'. In Thomas Holtz's Dinosaurs: The Most Complete, Up-to-Date Encyclopedia for Dinosaur Lovers of All Ages, he lists the largest Stegosaurs at 29.5' (9 m). :D

Blade-of-the-Moon

lol thanks bud! I aimed for 28' some times I end up with an extra foot or so here and there. So 29/30 might be cutting it close!

While compiling references for this project I noticed there are very few..well none really..totally accurate Stegosaurus figures out there. I've been using the Sideshow , Favorite ( not too bad), and Faunacasts pieces too but it's a long hike from the shop to the house to check things every few minutes.. lol

Kayakasaurus

Stegosaurus! That's going to be a real neat one :)

We put the head/neck on it today. The plates have me a bit concerned but we'll figure it out.

Halichoeres

Are you attaching the plates with brackets?
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Currently the plan is to wrap them with 12.5 gauge welded steel wire so far up and use the ends of it to attach them. We did it before with the  Kentrosaurus, though those were quite a bit smaller.

I always do!  ^-^

This Stegosaur may well turn out to be your masterpiece.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Cross your claws! lol The bigger these guys get the less control I have over them when building, I have to rely on my friends to understand what I mean to get something time..it's frustrating a bit. I just hope the plates don't sag. Working on that now.. ;)

Stegosaurus will be one of best of your magnificent  models  ^-^.
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?
