What is this "toothed Tupuxuara" looking pterosaur you speak of? Is that a new pterosaur that was discovered?

heh, check the date it was posted. ;)  ;D

Haha! That was a good joke... partially because I googled "Vampyrodactylus" thinking it was a new species... ::)

Maybe at some point as I've thought the same.  My grandfather's garden starts 10' behind it right now...he wouldn't like a dinosaur going through it when he's plowing... ;)   I think this will work for now though, we have the juvenile as a full body as well.    Maybe they'll figure out just what Spinosaurus looked like by the time I can do it.

A new project we've been working on, originally intended to be a Tupuxuara, a recent discovery of a very similar toothed pterosaur from Transylvania has prompted a change. Apparently this creature was quite large, a 16' wingspan no less and a 4' head. The teeth are long and fang like, one on each side of the front of the beak. The plan is paint him mostly black with hypnotizing red eyes. Just imagine this monster winging it's way over the Carpathian mountains!

Wow,This gonna be awesome!! can't wait to see your work finish!!

How are you gonna set up the Tupuxuara? Like, on wires, or a pole?
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Spiney will be breaking through a fence so you won't actually see the back legs.  The arms will be in the clapping position though, we are tryig to walk a fine line between both interpretations of Spinosaurus.  We still are not 100 percent sure how it walked on all fours if it did.

Hoping to use steel cables, suspended between two trees about 12-15' up...and he's heavy!

Besides, the quadrupedal Spino is probably wrong & Blade-of-the-Moon's non-JP dinos are as scientifically-accurate as possible.

Well, the new fossils of Spinosaurus are now thought to be of Sigilmassasaurus, so Spinosaurus i guess has reverted back to its bipedal form.

Sigilmassasaurus status as a genus is still far from unanimous. And even if it is that doesn't mean the new Spinosaurus is going anywhere, it's still the most accurate remains to reconstruct Spinosaurus on. For that matter (correct me if I'm wrong but) I don't think the lower leg or feet is known from any other Spinosaurid besides FSAC-KK 11888 (the short legged Spinosaur).

Pterosaur is lookin good Blade! Can't wait to see how you tackle the pycnofibre texture.

Thanks for the vote of confidence bud, I certainly try to keep as accurate as I can.
