Nice work on all of these! :)

Sorry I didn't see the Kentro plate question sooner; it looks like plates 1-7 are relatively basic but get taller as you go further down the back, plates a 8 and 9 look more like flattened spikes with 8 being slightly more plate-like and 9 being slightly more spike-like, the remaining ones are true spikes.

Thanks !

No worries, it's really difficult to find overhead shots or those from the front..something to show exact details so you can tell just how thick or tall or long some part is.  Here's an idea..someone should start a turntable series of all dinosaur fossil mounts based on the actual ones. Talk about a help. ;)

Thanks, they're coming along. I can just about start coating the Kentro any time. Today I started framing up the Allosaurus' body.  These bipedal ones are a HUGE pain to get to stand up..and so many different dimensions to get measurements from..that's why I always prefer to have skeleton designs from a lot of  angles and an accurate model to work from if at all possible.  I wish I had an easier way to scale and measure various parts with..guess my brain will have to suffice..lol

Your allosaur will be magnificent
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

I hope so ! It's really beating me over the head right now..lol  I have realized most of my mental picture of  Allosaurus was outdated..( thank you Scott Hartman ! ;) )

The differences alone between MOR 693 aka Big Al and UUVP 6000 is so much ..first the skull and hands, but then in less obvious areas. I should have probably gone with Big Al in the end..but instead chose the more typical and larger Allosaurus..as it seems Big Al was atypical.

Everything's looking great so far. I didn't know you were working on four pieces at once.  :o

I can't wait to see all of them finished. Have you already got spots picked out for them?

Thanks bud, counting the haunt projects it's more like 7 things at once...lol

I do for the Struthio ( running from the Gorgo ), the Kentro and Allo are going to facing off in their own area. The Para..I have the juvenile that will be paired with it..but I'm not sure where she is going quite yet.  I'm tempted to move the Brachio and Dilo to the back area and put the Para pair ( lol ) in the Brachio's spot.  Have Cretaceous and Jurassic separated in their own areas as well.  But it would be a pain and wouldn't last long as I keep building.. heh

Wow, that's a huge amount of work  :o. I really like the Para and Allosaurus heads, they will look great finished.

Aye, your telling me. And as if that isn't enough I'm thinking about other ones to make..lol Currently I'm thinking Pachy/Dracorex  or Ankylosaurus..I don't have a form of either one of those species yet.

Thanks, I really hope so ! This Allo should be a monster when done .  ^-^

Takama

You should do a Dracorex sometime,  and make a Harry Potter riding on it :P

Well after this guy I'm out of steel fencing..so the Para maybe a bit delayed.

Won't the steel fencing be expensive?

So how many rolls does it take you for a figure, and overall what is the cost of materials per figure?

Out of a 100' roll..maybe 20' ? Depending on the size of course.  I'd guess this Allo will cost around 200.00 or so ?  Not bad but the man hours involved really add up...lol Spent 6 months on the first one..I've got that down to about a month or so now.

Blade-of-the-Moon

This was supposed to be a Dracorex..but somehow my sleep addled brain got confused and I ended up with a Stygimoloch...lol
