[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

Thank you, glad you like him, he takes after his mama.. lol  I don't know about amazing but he looks alright  I think..I just have to get the eggs done now and build the nest outside .  His mom will have a hard time defending him from an attacking Allosaurus..but you know what they say about protective mothers... ;)

LOL I admit he has a southwestern feel to him for sure. I'm not big on a lot of greens which would be more suitable I suppose.  It's quite hard to make look realistic for me..especially on such a large animal.

I may add a little orange to his head..I'd like something to set it off more.

I will get some better pics up when the weather improves as well.

Actually I was referring to the little black dog (cat?) in the background, not the dinosaur ;)

If there is one thing that you have to modify is the width of the nasal bones in relation to the nasal opening (see http://www.oucom.ohiou.edu/dbms-witmer/collections/Thyreophora/ankylosaurus.htm). You will notice the nasal opening on the animal receded under the expansion of the nasal armour; resulting in that you don't see these openings from the front or view from above (doesn't have to be directly above as you can see this condition on the specimen; see Witmer's link above).

I'm only mentioning this because it is one of the defining feature from an Ankylosaurus:

"Rostral and lateral expansion of dermal armour of nasal bones covering premaxillae and restricting external nares to small round openings located far laterally near premaxillary-maxillary suture at the margin of the mouth...(Glut 1997)"
