Wauw, that is gonna look beautiful Blade, really, mustard yellow with cream white, something like that :) The design of Todd Marshall is neat too yeah, looks like a Juvenile Brachy as well and indeed a forward posed neck :)

This is probably one of your most exciting projects since that Juvenile Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus right?

Blade-of-the-Moon

They are all exciting to me really..each one is special . :)

Though this certainly one of the most interesting Dino-related projects since the juvi Spino..of course there wasn't any in between really..lol

This one had been on the drawing board since early last year..I've added a couple Stegosaurs, an Ankylosaur , a larger Parasaurolophus and a juvenile Rex to it since. Where I'm going to get the materials for all those I don't know. ..lol

Blade-of-the-Moon

Some skin work done. The neck won't be that low it's just sitting there for right now to show the length better.

Sorry for the crappy pic..the weather wasn't good today..I actually worked through the rain a bit.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Teeth installed/ mouth and tongue painted :

DinoToyForum

That's looking rather nice  8)
Did you make the teeth separately?

Thanks . Yeah I sculpted them each, added a pin to them, then painted and then inserted each one with a bit of glue.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Didn't get much done today..it poured down all day til about 8pm . I did get the head attached here before it started though. I also did some more chicken wire work in the rain when it slacked.

Oh yeah ! Go big or go home ! ;D

Thank you very much !  ^-^

Your Brachy rocks bro, it's truly gonna be awesome

Although that is just the base skin right? it is going to get another layer over that one right?

No that's it. After the first muscle layer ( steel wire ) the chicken wire acts as the lower epidermis, then the vinyl coating is the upper skin that I detail and paint.  Same process as the juvi Spino.

Long time no update.  I finally started back working on the Spino last week.  My last effort on it was at the end of August :

This is a bit random, but the Spino kinda reminds me of CM studios Spinosaurus head

But you kinda did your own thing with it  :)

Do the dinosaurs do a good job of keeping the kids off your lawn?  :P

Blade-of-the-Moon

It's possible somewhere in my mind that existed..I had seen it before..lol  I think that's a  Suchomimus though. :)

I can tell you the general pose and form was based off the CollectA Irritator .  The idea for the spines and dewlap was Todd Marshall inspired. The head and the rest was pulled from my mind with help from the board here on just what a juvenile spinosaurus would look like. :)

Actually the Dinos do the opposite and attract kids it seems.. lol ;D

Tylosaurus

Hay Blade I wonder why :P How they attract kids, xD  It's very obvious man I'd go wild but on the other side I'd surely ask to pay you a visit first, but I have fear to travel alone, which kinda limits me from such cool visits  :-\
You have an entire 3D Dino Art Gallery in your front and back yard man, just plain Dino awesomesauce at it's best

And of course people love them, anyone would right 8)

Oh yeah ! I mean the school buses go right by here as well..lol My cousin said everyone knew him as the kid with Dinosaurs in the yard.. ;D

I had the neighbors over once to see a 15' tall dragon  I made..said their little girl really liked the Barbie Castle series that had a dragon in it.  If I had left it up I would probably have Harry Potter fans stopping by all the time.. lol

How have I managed to miss this?  Blade, where have you been all my life?   ;D

This is so fantastic, I've got a big grin on my face.  I used to do something similar in my parent's yard when I was in high school.  But I built working roller coaster sections instead.  Turned the yard into a theme park, lol.  Your dinosaurs look absolutely wonderful, and what a great way to showcase your talent!

If you ever need a tour guide, I'd totally dress as a caveman and live on site (in my own cave of course). During down times I could do routine maintenance as well as apply light coats of valspar during the wet months... I can dream right?

Ha ha.  Keep up the good work!

A working coaster eh ? That's AWESOME ! ;D  Would be great to have a working min one for  the haunt I do :

lol if I ever get my park to the level I want I'll let you know ! ;) I'll certainly be looking for employees then. :)

Here are a couple pics of the head and neck with my Spino-loving cuz ( I've mentioned him before ) holding her up for scale :

I am working on bits here and there but nothing worth taking a pic of..mostly more chicken-wire and vinyl stretching is all.

Tylosaurus

hah it's beginning to take shape nice one Blade! Nice size too man :D 8)

Blade-of-the-Moon

Thanks, I believe so . ;D

I think I will be closer to 25' now..but I have yet to actually take a measuring tape to it...will be doing that once the neck is on permanent.

I almost forgot, I will be adding some small spines to the neck, have to finish those then I can paint the head and neck I have done so far.

Darko2300

Ha ha, yes my mother was worried she'd have to purchase additional insurance in case something happened.  Thankfully, I'm too level-headed to put anyone in something that wasn't safe.  ;)  (And what Haunted House wouldn't be better with a roller coaster?)

The Brachiosaurs' looking gorgeous - your mention of spines reminded me of the Greg Paul / Bob Morales sculpture.  One of my favorites:
