Today a very hard-to-find complete (and boxed) set of 3 "The Dawn of The Dinosaurs" figures (Saurosuchus, Exaeretodon, Frenguellisaurus) was sold on Yahoo Auctions Japan for 28.610Y + shipping (more or less 264 USD).
These figures are extremely rare; I tried to bid but, honestly, 264$ is way too much (I could buy a Martin Garratt finished figure for that amount of cash...  ::) ).

How do you get to the English version all the links I clicked are Japanese?

About the picture I posted, I used a translator plug-in for my browser (from Japan to English).
There is also Buyee (English version).
Buyee is a proxy service for buying on Yahoo Japan (and it's not the only one available..).

LOL .... :)
nooooo ..

18000 yen is a bargain for that lot, although of course it would be extremely expensive to ship. I'm not sure which of those is rarest, maybe one of the weirder Dinotales repaints?

The Dawn of the Dinosaurs figures were me. I've been looking for that Saurosuchus for about two years, and I recently traded my Exaeretodon for other rare figures. So now it's replaced. And I have a Frenguellisaurus/Herrerasaurus to trade.

It is the Olive\Green Siamotyrannus - right in the middle.
for some reason this tiny figure always sells for over 150$ by itself ...

are the other color variants of the Siamotyrannus also pricey?

btw, is The Dawn of the Dinosaurs trio made of vinyl? and how big are they scale wise?

The other three Siamotyrannus will sell on YAJ for half as much at best, usually much less, for all three together -
Where the red is considered to be the most common and the other two slightly higher.

As for the "The Dawn of the Dinosaurs":
I believe the figures are Resin of about 17-18 cm ( 6' to 7' ).

::)  ???  ::)

ok I know it was real but this reconstruction is so unsettling, especially the face. Reminds me of the poor chimera from Fullmetal Alchemist.  :o

Shonisaurus

I did not know anything about that animal but I never thought that the Exaeretodon actually had that aspect (according to paleontological discoveries and reconstructions), that the Exaeretodon that they sell is not PVC but would be behind that figure. It is very well made.

The reconstruction of the face reminds me of a figure that looks like a science fiction movie but the fact is that it existed like so many disappeared and current animals whose caricatured forms.  :o

It would be interesting if that figure was commercialized by a toy company.
