Now we're talking! Great photos of your new additions! Yeah, that Cajuajara is so beautifully repainted, it really shows how great a sculpt this figure really is. Martin was able to bring out all of those delicate details, I'm just now seeing some details I missed before. The only thing I really din't like about the original paint job was that silly eyespot. I tried to repaint it on mine.
Those two Dryosaurus are simply adorable.
Hope we see more of your recent additions. ^-^

Thank you.  As your photos are so good, I value your approval.

You will indeed see more, though not on a daily basis.  The forum suffers if we don't take the trouble to post photos.  Plus there is a good deal of pleasure in sharing.

avatar_Killekor @Killekor - I too like how quiet and peaceful the Dryosaurus pair look.  I'm not a great fan of constant scenes of chase and stress!

Halichoeres

Wow, the Dryosaurus pair is gorgeous. It almost feels as though if I were patient, I might see them breathing.

I agree 100% with what you have mentioned before, I love following the threads on member's collections, and I enjoy sharing with the rest of members my collection, even if I don't have too much time too take the pictures, posting them....!  ^-^

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres - I keep their cabinet locked so they don't stray round the house looking for suitable nesting sites!  Seriously, I think the life-like quality is partly due to SenSen's sculpt but Martin really brought out that life-like, inquisitive feel.

On to today's offering.  This is quite different from the Dryosaurus pair.  I'm a great fan of Jetoar's Paleo-Creatures line.  I like the very individual artistic style he brings to his work.  I like the way he does "obscure" animals that I can't easily source as figures from larger commercial firms.  In May his Moschops capensis arrived.  It's always good to find more Permian models for my collection.

And finally a rather poor shot of the laminated card that comes with the model and gives some information about it....

I'm excited to say that I've commissioned Jetoar to make me a model of a creature I've wanted to add to my collection for ages.  In due course there will be photos!

This will probably be my last offering for a short while - but not as long as my last hiatus.  Next Monday my husband and I are off for a short holiday to look at cave art in France.

Killekor

Thanks for the photos of the Paleo-creatures Moschops! Jetoar is a really great artist, and I'm sure that the model that you commissioned to him will be amazing! I'd commissioned a model to him years ago and the result was all I could desire from a dinosaur figure. So congrats for your acquisitions!

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

The Moschops is another winner. The Paleo-Creatures line has only gotten better--it's time I placed an order, as I'm behind on the Permian-Triassic animals.

The Jetoar moschops I like very much is a very rare figure in the different lines of collecting and toy. Sincerely, he is a very good and well-worked figure by Jetoar and is an outstanding paleo-culture. It is to be placed in an office cabinet or a desk that decorates your room, in short Jetoar makes Museum figures (and what I say is true) has made figures of prehistoric mammals that have been exhibited in Museum exhibitions.

I'm back from my trip to France looking at cave art.  So back now further in time....

Here is Martin Garratt's repaint of CollectA's Edaphosaurus.  I left the choice of scheme up to him, merely asking for something that would make a good display pair with the Dimetrodon and Estemmenosuchus he painted last year, so just a simple base.  I love the details he picked out: the change of colour along the tail, the reddish spots on the cheeks, the pink under the throat, the careful work on the sail.  Until I saw it repainted, I hadn't noticed the elegant curvature of the sail.

And to remind you of the Dimetrodon that came last summer ...

Bokisaurus

Very nice, wow! It really looks amazing! Would love to see a group photos when you have a chance.
This figure really is a beautiful one and full of lovely details which Martin really brought out here. Congrats!

Thank you.  And yes, I will get a group photo - I realised when I sat down to post what I had taken prior to the holiday that I had forgotten to take one of them together!

Being toy figures (PVC) seem with that repainted figures of high quality resin or polychrome porcelain.

Halichoeres

He did a magnificent job as always! What a beautiful piece.

Thank you, avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus and avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres.

B @Bokisaurus - I've tried out taking some group photos, here's the results.  I have the feeling that the Edaphosaurus looks seriously disgruntled at his carnivorous company!

He's almost rolling his eyes!

Studiously looking the other way....

Even worse, the Estemmenosuchus joins the party.  Edaphosaurus tries to sneak off the other way.

"Why can't these guys keep their mouths closed?"

"They're really getting on top of me...."

In all seriousness, they make an excellent display group.

postsaurischian

:D  Wonderful!! The Edaphosaurus is soo beautiful. Makes me wanna send mine to Martin as well :) .

Beautifully repainted figures of prehistoric animals of the Paleozoic sincerely if Collecta sold such figures with those repainted figures would obviously become more expensive. That is one of the reasons why Collecta or other toy brands do not usually make repaints as accurate as those shown. They do it from my point of view to save costs. Those paintings on these prehistoric animals and marketed by a toy brand would at least double the value of the product price.

You are quite right.  It would push the price up a lot.  I enjoy the choice - some CollectA figures I keep with their factory paint, some I enjoy having repainted.

Killekor

Both repaints you've shown are great, in particular the Dimetrodon! It's incredible how a bad paint scheme can ruin a figure.
Congratulations for having them!
