Me waits for that Giga one day

Wow, that Amargasaurus is beautiful! I liked the first one that was leaked over a year ago, but I always thought the paint job was lacking... but this new one is incredible! This is how bright colors should be incorporated onto large dinosaurus; highlights that accentuate the animal and its features, not overpower the whole thing (cough cough CollectA). I'm very excited for this one, should look great next to Wilson and Doyle

PhilSauria

And speaking of Wilson - anyone know where I can buy that beast for a decent price these days? I meant to pick one up back nearer its release but didn't and now wish that I had because it doesn't seem to be listed anywhere for anything less than a three-figure amount (often with shipping on top of that!).

Amazon is the cheapest I've found him in. Yiniao Sci-art is PNSO's FB retailer that takes you straight to their Amazon. Don't think you'll find it cheaper anywhere else

Is that fin on the mosasaur's back purely speculative on the part of PNSO or has someone seriously suggested such a feature?

I dont think its a fin (I thought that at first glance too) I think its one of its flippers flapping

No, that's definitely a dorsal fin.

Yea, it is a dorsal fin.

Anyone got the release on Doyle?
Wondering if the paint job has been improved from the 1st release.

Shonisaurus

Sincerely seeing the new PNSO figures I am eager to order them and see them in person. I will commission the mosasaurus and the two amargasaurus with different painting schemes. I'll wait what I need but I can not stop thinking about these beauties.

The best amargasaurus ever made by a toy dinosaur company and a mosasaurus that will make a happy company to its congeners in Safari and Collecta toy to give two examples, apart from the Favorite mosasaurus of Favorite.

Anyone else struggling with cash these days? ;)
I already see 4 PNSOs that I am interested in (Mamenchi/Ophthal/Amarga/Mosa).
The arrival of PNSO, Vitae, Eofauna, Mattel and some phenomenal figures by Papo, REBOR, CollectA and WS has really taken a toll on the way I prioritize toy collecting. And, I don't even want to go into the whole shelf/space issue. I suppose it is not the worst problem to have. I wonder if anyone predicted this ongoing massive spike in quality dinosaur toy lines years ago...

It's certainly not inherently unrealistic. It wasn't long ago tail flukes were "purely speculative" despite making a great deal of sense. For a lithe fast moving aquatic animal dorsal fins are extremely commonplace.

Hmm looking on a bigger screen it does look a little high, but the picture on PNSO's own poster on mosasaurs shows no fins on its back, scroll down on this link.

Yep! Cash, space and sanity, I certainly wouldn't have imagined it..! It's a golden age of toy dinosaur collecting ;D Looks like they've toned down the colours on the Ceratosaurus, but we've been misled by photos before ;) It's a must-have here, anyway!

From what I last saw, the lips are debatable from what I understand.

Oh wow that Ceratosaur is stonking, I will swap one of my kidneys for it  ^-^

Yep, definitely not settled yet, at least not for most taxa. But, not only do I find the evidence "for" compelling, I also personally prefer it from an aesthetic point of view. Especially for Ceratosaurus, with its big nasty teeth!

tanystropheus

I forgot about the Ceratosaurus!

Where am I going to collect $300 for all these models (Cerato/Mamenchi/Ophthal/Mosa/Amarga)? :-\

stargatedalek

Nice and big! Just how I like it. Lack of lips is a shame, and I think the teeth might also be too long (it even looks like they're falling out of the sockets in this reconstruction, and a lot of skull references are drawn that way so it's completely possible to happen).

These are all so cool, but there is one thing I'd love to clear up before dropping a lot of funds on them at any point. What is PNSO's connection to the Chinese government? They are a state funded museum yes? What does that mean for the proceeds of their products? Do they go towards the museum and their production costs, or are the profits distributed higher up?
