Nanuqsaurus' drawings and sketches he will never finish

Hey everybody! :)

Sometimes I try to draw dinosaurs, I won't say I'm very good at it, but it's pretty much the only thing I can draw. And they're always side views, I really can't draw perspectives. :P
As a kid I used to make tons of dinosaur drawings, never paying much attention to scientific accuracy, and sometimes the depicted dinosaurs would only vaguely resemble the actual thing. Then I quit drawing for a while, but now I'm back at it again. This time I try to make my drawings a bit more accurate! ;) I have the nasty habit not to finish any drawings lately, so you'll mostly see unfinished things here.  :-[

Here's a Giganotosaurus, usually I don't use colored pencils, so this was a bit of an experiment. I used a picture of Jurassic World's Rexy and the weird orange Schleich Giganotosaurus as inspiration:

And this one is something I actually want to finish, because I think it looks kinda cool. It's an old, battle-scarred Pachyrhinosaurus bull. I did some work at a goat farm when I started drawing this, and the old bucks that lived there were used as inspiration. It also has some bizon, rhino and musk ox influences:

That's all I have for now, more unfinished work next time! :D

Thanks! :D Guess I'll finish the Pachy soon since you seem to like it, and I think it's a shame if I'll leave it unfinished like this.

Here's some more drawings I will never finish because:

A: I'm not really satisfied with how it turned out.

or

B: My attention span is too short.

Suchomimus tenerensis

Ichthyovenator laosensis

Yi qi

Nanuqsaurus hoglundi

But I kinda like the sleeping Nanuq pair, so maybe I'll work that one out someday.

I like this recent batch! Maybe reconsider not finishing them?

I'm currently making a bigger/better version of the Nanuqsaurus drawing, and so far I like how it's turning out. Maybe... just maybe I'll actually finish this one! :P

Well, the wait is over! :P To be honest it's not much different from the sketch, it's only bigger and has a little more detail. I also tried to make some surroundings, but it's difficult to draw snow because paper is white already... Anyway, here it is:

It's part three in my Tyrannosaur ''series.''

As you can see, the Tarbosaurus is horribly outdated and anatomically incorrect. I drew it two years ago, when I didn't really care about accuracy. I'm gonna make a new version later, maybe along with a Alioramus so I can make two Tyrannosaurs in one drawing! :P
I also updated the Daspletosaurus recently, it had a shrink-wrapped skull and visible teeth, and was missing a dew claw as well.

Sorry for the quality, but I took a quick picture of my current project for the ''Tyrannosaur door.'' I wanted this to be even more birdlike than the rest.

Nanuqsaurus

I finished the Albertosaurus, and it has a place with the other Tyrannosaurs now. :)

And I'm already busy with a new Tyrannosaur drawing, in fact, it's almost finished! It's the most famous of all, Tyrannosaurus (with a unfortunate juvenile Torosaurus)!

Meanwhile I'm also working on a very different drawing. It's Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series. I'm a bit of a Star Wars fan and I really love this series, especially the brother-sister like relationship of Anakin and Ahsoka. This drawing is looking good so far, but I'm not sure if I'll finish it. It's more of an experiment.

Nanuqsaurus

Finished the Tyrannosaurus rex drawing!

And already moving on to the next Tyrannosaur. Well, it's not really a new one, more like a remake of the previous Tarbosaurus drawing. It was too inaccurate to ''update'' (like I did with the Daspletosaurus), so I decided to just remake it. Here's the progress so far:

Fenestra

Those are really nice drawings.
I really like your eye for detail.
To see the exhaled breath in the cold air with the sleeping pair is a very nice touch.
And the Pachyrhinosaurus looks great with that impressive mane.

Nanuqsaurus

The remake of Tarbosaurus bataar is finished! :)

Already working on the next Tyrannosaur, it's gonna be Gorgosaurus liberatus. I'll probably show it next time.

WarrenJB

Nice! There are some definite skills ramping up in just this short series.

Lovely Tyrannosaur restorations. My favourite has to be the Nanuqsaurus pair. You've nailed the snow, and the animals themselves look so relaxed! They remind me of when we had two family cats in my teenage years and they'd be curled up on the sofa together.  ^-^
