"After months we are finally revealed! Time to conquer Earth!"

Since this is about the new ones for 2017: The 1st Schleich Dinosaurs magazine issue that year (4th issue overall ), released on January 7th, will have another repaint of the Mini Indominus Velociraptor in it, this time in red and blue.

These are pretty dire, except the Stego. I don't mind the dull color (I like repainting!) or the pose, since it's a pretty classic defense pose, and it's my favorite dino anyways. It's shame considering there's so many talented sculptors out there, that they can't hire someone better, or at least put a little care into research considering how pricey these things are.

Looks like some of them are already out in Germany:

Ignore the Dragons. For whatever reason people tend to shove these into the Dinosaurs & Prehistorics section.

I hope soon we can see soon the real photos of them. I thought the Utah and Allosaurus would release later...maybe th first wave and near the summer more surprises like Barapasaurus?

Regardless of what is said in the forum at the moment even if it does not come to mind I think that it is necessary to indicate something in relation to the figures of dinosaurs of Schleich and general with respect to the rest of their figures.

I suppose the explanation that Schleich that makes and undoes so many figures of dinosaurs in a continuous way (that is to say it discontinues constantly every year figures faster than other companies is because it is based on its philosophy of wild mercantilism.

They make a limited number of figures, if they are sold they keep them for a certain time, and if they are not so the following year they are discontinued independently that they are good figures as happened with the shonisaurus, elasmosaurus and even with the kronosaurus (preamble of the magnificent figure Of the same species of Collecta that surpasses it with deep abysses).

What I see in Schleich have already changed at least three times as owners. In any case they do not improve in the elaboration most of their figures I mean the dinosaurs except honorable exceptions unfortunately.

Anyway hope is the last thing that is lost and it may be that in the next batch of figures improve the ranking. You never know.

Sigmasaurus

Actually, I saw the Stego in a store a while ago... Epic! :)) :)) :)) :))

Lanthanotus

Woah, that Allosaurus... got nice scales on its body,.... but that's all the good that can be said about it,.... I guess Schleich reaches a new low on this species.

that's an Allosaurus? LOLOLOL. i wonder why they keep making horrible prehistoric figures, like they live in their own world or something. i might give that Brachiosaurus a chance, if it's gonna  cost less than $10.

Oh Schleich if only you had made these 10 years ago...

Totally agree.
Even Papo has adopted the no-pronation stance with their recent 2017 models (as well as for the past 2 years). Schleich is living in is own bubble.
However, Schleich does release 1 or 2 models a year for the adult collectors market (e.g. Kentrosaurus, Pentaceratops, Anhanguera, Dimetrodon, Dunkleosteus). What are they releasing in 2017 for collectors like us? Stegosaurus? Plesiosaurus?

EmperorDinobot

Only the Brachiosaur is nice.

Schliech does not release Dinosaurs for the adult market. Their catalogue an website claim that they are aimed at children between 8 and 12 years. Some models being better is the result of their "research" ( You know, Google Image Search ).

Furthermore I'd also dispute the idea that they deliberately make obscure species for adult collectors. Much as we mock Schleich, they're well aware they can't re-release the same species every year, and dipping into lesser known species lets them add variety. We also need to keep in mind that the obscure species Schleich chooses to make tend to have mainstream types of appeal, i.e. freaky appearances. Kentrosaurus has spikes, Anhanguera has teeth, Dunkleosteus is a murderfish in a Darth Vader helmet, etc.

I'll choose to believe that they're targeting adults when they produce a hypsilophodont.

Don't forget their Barapasaurus having both spikes and looking like the Red Skull.

their Dimetrodon and Anhanguera look so derpy that only the under 10 yo would find them "cool/awesome!". their "serious" figures of the past 3 years would be the Kentrosaurus, Pentaceratops and Dunkleosteus.

Yes, it is extremely scary, but a lot of care went into making the eyes for some reason. It even has gloss on the eyes for the retail model.

The eyes just add to the horror look. They are the eyes of a killer!

Once seen it cannot be unseen.

The Schleich Dunkleosteus seems to be one of the more popular Schleich figures on this forum.  To me though it looks very cartoony, with all those weird scratches and holes all over its armour.
