I was checking for some figures at dejankins.com and the standard size figures (minus Basilosaurus) and the deluxe Kronosaurus,Styracosaurus and Deinocheirus are already available!

Shonisaurus

Mine came in both the styracosaurus Deluxe, deinocheirus Deluxe scale 1:40, Kronosaurus Deluxe scale 1:40; Excalibosaurus, einiosaurus, regaliceratops and gigantspinosaurus and I am pleasantly amazed of all the figures. They are of a realism and an odd detail.  8)

The styracosaurus does not have to envy its favorite counterpart of resin, the deinocheirus is an improvement over its standard figure and I sincerely thank the company that has marketed a much larger figure, kronosaurus although I am not a fan of articulated jaws It must be recognized that it is a very realistic figure and with a very conservative colors (which I appreciate) makes a beautiful pair with his Safari counterpart and are equated in genius (and I do not think that exaggeration).  :))

As for the standard figures the gigantspinosaurus is much better to see it in figure and is larger in size than I figured watching the promotional videos, the excalibosaurus and einiosaurus are a work of art and considering that they are miniatures and regaliceratops perhaps Less detailed than the einiosaurus Collecta but it is still a great figure (perhaps the regaliceratops is the weakest figure in the group).

Referring to their material, it is a flexible plastic and that is appreciated to avoid breakage from falls or accidents that usually happen to me in particular if they fall casually from my shelves two meters high.

Undoubtedly it is a tough competition to the other exceptional figures of Safari. And we must recognize that seen what there is no small company in the market of dinosaur figures even the Schleich kentrosaurus I think we will not be disappointed.

This year is one of the best overall in terms of figures of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals.

Amen to that sentiment!  It's a good time to be collecting.

Sad that most of them are tiny.

Only three are tiny. The Gigantspinosaurus is around the same size as most of CollectA's previous stegosaurs and the rest are all Deluxes, plus one Supreme. Oh, and there's the aquatic tube as well, but that's supposed to be teeny weeny.

Yeah, the thing is, those tiny ones were the ones I was most looking forward to, now all on my wishlist is the Styraco, Gigantspinosaurus (Barely) the Kronosaurus, and the Unitatherium.

What is so bad about them being small? Smaller ones are more affordable and take up less space. As long as they are not so small that they are lacking in detail or that the scale is thrown off I do not see what the problem is.

It's just a matter of preference or taste, I personally prefer my ceratopsians to be similar in size of those from Safari, so the new standard ones are too small, but since the Regaliceratops it's the only one available I'm still deciding....

I was just thinking about the tiny size of the Einiosaurus, and for me is actually a plus. I like small figures when they are well detailed, and that one is incredibly detailed. I think I'm gonna hold on the deluxe Styracosaurus, at least for this year, but the Einiosaurus is definitely a must-have.

Both the large size figures (deluxe or 1:40 scale) and collecta's standard (medium-small size) this year are fabulous. So good is the styracosaurus, kronosaurus and deinocheirus as good are the gigantspinosaurus, regaliceratops and to a greater extent the einiosaurus and excalibosaurus (the latter two are works of art).  8)

Well personally.... small figures are harder to see like  little kaiyodos and get swallowed up in a collection, , smaller makes them feel more delicate , so i handle them less,  i have big hands compared to most and  smaller figures just dont give me the same  satisfaction? i guess as i had as a kid holding one  when my hands were smaller.  I can appreciate a smaller delicate figure but it misses some of the appeal.  I prefer 6-8" or larger.

Neosodon

7 to 10 inch models seem to be the most popular size but I think it is good to keep an open mind on different sizes. Imagine how boring it would be if all models were the same size. The size is what helps to give your models personality. Collecta Psitacosaurus wouldn't even be half as cute if it was just the standard 8 inches. Safari Diplodacus would loose the majestic sauropod look if they decided to just leave it at 10 inches. I also like size contrast too for display purposes. T Rex looks allot better when it is towering over a smaller model like collecta Struthimimus.

Most ceratopsians were not that big. The Regaliceratops is actually the same scale as the deluxe T Rex which is 1:41. I appreciate that collecta is trying to make their models to scale but the trade off is that some of them will be excessively small or excessively big.

Plus when you get past about 45 years of age you start needing reading glasses for things close up and its hard to get pleasure from looking at something that is not in focus when near you, or too far away to see any details on because its too small.  Its why I gave up collecting the small Kaiyodos 6-7 years ago.  Same thing with the 1/40 scale - the detail is just not sharp enough to hold my interest on most of them.  PNSO are "just right" for me at this point...

Minizoo has got the Basilosaurus, the Dimorphodon, and the Uintatherium in stock!

https://www.minizoo.com.au/categories/Collecta/CollectA-2017/

Don't know why the mini-tubes aren't listed.

For the price of the uintatherium the size should be small. I would have preferred it the same size as the megacerops even if it was not made to scale or the andrewsarchus.

Anyway, that figure is one of the beautiful ones that have been made on prehistoric mammals by this factory.

As far as the dimorphodon is concerned it must be immense. The price attests.

Heard back from Minizoo; the tubes will be available "soon." That's fine with me. I'll order the aquatic one once the Southlands Replicas Diprotodon is also available.

I'm surprised at how cheap the Basilosaurus is. Must be on account of its skinniness.

Suspy I am also interested in the southland diprotodon replicas, but I have looked at the store and it is still not available.

Blade-of-the-Moon

i went ahead and ordered 2 Dimorphodons from them, t least i'll get them in the park before summer ends.  i'll pick up two more from dejankins when he gets them.  still want to try to customize one with spread wings.

That's because it's not finished yet. Probably won't be ready to order until autumn at the earliest.

Thanks for the information Suspsy. I am interested in that figure since it would be my first diprotodon in prehistoric animals collection.

On the other hand the prehistoric animals of Collecta that are already available in minizoo are fabulous. The dimophordon, as I have already indicated, far outweighs the guidraco. He has removed the scepter to the best pterosaur in the toy market.
