Well, mine arrived yesterday and its teeth are neither grey nor white, but like a light tan. Definetly a more fitting color than the stone grey shown on the catalogue cover or stock photo.

I hope you are not responsible for a rise in cryptid sightings!  ;)

Haha, yes! But, you have to make the pictures low-res/blurry with grainy filters to make the 'cryptid' appear believable to the public ;D

This is an amazing figure, maybe better than the other deluxe models from this year's line-up.

.

Man from my point of view all models of Collecta have been very good (styracosaurus, deinocheirus, prehistoric marine creatures, dimorphodon, excalibosaurus to put a few examples), but it is also true that in prehistoric mammals Collecta is for me one of the best companies Of the world perhaps the best by far.The uintatherium is the best figure that has been made up to date, leaving overshadowed the mythical uintatherium of the company PlayVision

Ive noticed that Collecta likes going for less commom interpretations of prehistoric mammals, like the ungulate looking andrewsarchus, and here with the uintatherium, it looks less "pachyderm" like many older depictions and more, I want to say almost pig-like? or even carnivore-like? maybe its the furriness and more active posture?

To me looks more horse-like.

Lanthanotus

It's a good model with fine detaisl indeed, but I don't like that splayed pose andIi find it somewhat disconcerting that all those CollectA mammals are shown with open mouths. Okay, I understand that brings more "action" into such a figure, but heck, go out there in the wild and have a look how many elephants, lions, wolves, horses, birds or whatever you find with their mouth gaping all day.

That is very true. Most of prehistoric animals are depicted in active, menacing or roaring poses, at least in the camp of PVC models. I'm quite a fan of the fierce look of certain figures, but I would really like to see placid or resting poses at times, especially on theropod dinosaurs. Just for variety's sake.

Oh yes, I strongly second that desire for placid and resting poses sometimes. If only the toy and model makers would take note!

suspsy

I'd also like to see resting dinosaur toys, but I'm not so sure they would be very popular with younger audiences.

I noticed that too! I think that's what makes this model feel so fresh and unique.

Neosodon

(For U.S DTF members.) You can pick up all the standard sized 2016 and 2017 collecta models from happy hen toys for about 6 dollars each now. They are all in stock too. Almost seems to good to be true but maybe since they are a bigger company they were able to pull some strings with collecta. Hopefully it's a sign collecta is getting there issues worked out.

"3,000 km to the south, the massive comet crashes into Earth. The light from the impact fades in silence. Then the shock waves arrive. Next comes the blast front. Finally a rain of molten rock starts to fall out of the darkening sky - this is the end of the age of the dinosaurs. The Comet struck the Gulf of Mexico with the force of 10 billion Hiroshima bombs. And with the catastrophic climate changes that followed 65% of all life died out. It took millions of years for the earth to recover but when it did the giant dinosaurs were gone - never to return." - WWD

I picked up the standard deinocheirus from them (which I loved). Ive bought from them several times and they are just great. I always take advantage of their free shipping offer, which is easy for me as I also collect extant animal figures.

I'm hoping they can get the deluxe figures and tubes eventually.

Would any moderator be willing to update the first post of this thread with the names and stock pictures of all the new for 2017 CollectA figures?  C:-)
