What's happening with Geoworld? Any news for 2017 releases?

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Well, a little. According to dejankins (http://www.dejankins.com/blog/2016/9/26/three-updates-geoworld-before-dinos-figures-2017-safari-items-and-pnso-models), the "pre-dinosaur" and croc figures have been pushed back to the second half of 2017. Given how long those have been pending, it doesn't seem likely that they'll be dropping a bunch of new figures next year.

Sad day. We could use some more of those groups. I wouldn't complain if Geoworld stepped up to the plate.

GeoWorld came out really strong for the first couple years, but seem to have constant issues with supply, distribution and design. To say nothing of the bad owrd of mouth that followed them around when it was discovered that every design was based on uncredited artwork (this includes the sculpts/paint jobs and the printed imagery).

Likle many companies, making the product is almost the easy part.

They were supposed to be working on a mini line next
You can never have too many dinosaurs

Geoworld's tactics is just to make overpriced chinasaurs, slap some big juicy claims on their package and push out every competitor like how Schleich does. Unknowing parents will then buy these low quality figures and in turn fuelling Geoworld's plagiarism and false advertising.

I am well aware of that ::)

But i bought most of my collection back in 2014. I have all 72 dinosaurs, and i still need six of the mammals and all of the Marine Reptiles.    it was rumored that a Set of flying birds and Pterosaurs was going to be done, but at this point, i wont be surprised if they just quit.

Plus  Someones got to review these things honestly, so no one else can support them.

Flaffy

I have refused to purchase any Geoworld figures.
To this day non of them have infected my collection.
Hopefully some brave soul will do reviews on these figures.

I don't want to offend you, but, sorry, you can review them, no?

Takama, if you need the Marine Reptiles they available at ToyRus under the Animal Planet line.

The only thing I liked about Geoworld is that they will make figiures of obscure animals including mammals and Permian/Triassic reptiles. Too bad most of them are ugly as f...

sauroid

i couldnt resist a handful of them when i saw them on sale tho...

Yeah, I feel guilty that I have about a dozen of them, although I bought them on sale and before I was aware of their audacious plagiarism. For the most part, they're species that nobody else makes; still, they are always the ones I'm happiest to see ousted from my collection by a new release. For example, the Rebor Compy, even with all its inaccuracies, makes me much happier than the GeoWorld Compy; and likewise the ThunderBeasts Ornitholestes over the GeoWorld version.

I think if reviews must be done of the GeoWorld figures (a dubious proposition), they should be like Gwangi's Troodon review, which included images of the source artwork from which the design was cribbed. I think anything less would be incomplete.

Thats what i was hinting at. I plan on reviewing them. All of them.   Unless someone alredy did/wants to

CityRaptor

Well, I'm okay with you reviewing them. The only good thing about Geoworld are their fossil replicas.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

I bought the acrocanthosaurus, carnotaurus, amargasaurus, caudipteryx and stygimoloch from that company, and I honestly thought they were so bad that I stopped buying them and that I am a compulsive collector, I even bought the whole Recur dinosaur collection from urzeitshop.
But from my point of view buying GeoWorld animals is a waste of time and money.

Looks like we wont be seeing anything new after all

http://www.dejankins.com/blog/2017/4/7/and-now-a-word-from-dr-steve-hunters-well-almost-

That statement was pure press-release-speak for 'never happening'. That company has gone through so much turmoil, I'm surprised that they're still even doing anything.

Shonisaurus

Sincerely and without any offense to the company Geoworld its figures I do not like I have several such as carnotaurus, amargasaurus, caudipteryx and acrocanthosaurus and honestly they are very little finished and their plastic material is very rigid. Before I prefer to focus on other companies whose figures are of a safer material and I sincerely like them much more differently than Recur and whose collection I am doing.
